They identified a problem with their displays, sent out an email identifying the problem, and offered a solution. Emailed back and forth with pictures of the problem I had, and they ordered a new part and came out to my home and installed the new display. All this within two weeks. No down time for me. Just smoked a tri tip in here to break it in, and was able to turn off the smoker and turn on the grill to sear it off all in the same place and it turned out perfect. Definitely going to love using this, it's exactly what we wanted!

this grill does it all. it does take a bit of time to figure out how to use it.  there could be much better information around actually prepping, smoking, and grilling.  once you figure it out though it's fantastic. well made and love the insulated fire box.  the app has some bugs but all the important features work.  highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smart design, well thought out.  Especially the pull out drip pan for cleaning.   Some materials are not top quality, though (eg screws that rust quickly.) I added a dial gauge thermometer in the hood, too.  I also replaced the 6ft power cord with a 15ft cord. Would like a stainless channel grate option instead of porcelain steel.   Unit is HEAVY, not easy to move.

Great design, could make small improvements.

I bought the grill about one month ago and it worked great except for a few minor problems. When I was smoking for the first time the pellets would slowly drop out on the ground under the hopper, if I pushed on the hopper latch it would quit for a while and then start again and the screen went out and also the steering wheels wouldn't turn as they were welded askew. I contacted Lifetime and told them of my concerns and they sent me a new grill put together and ready to go in  exchange for the old one. They were very prompt but it would have been nice to know they were coming! luckily my wife was home and not at work that day. I appreciate the speed in which they fixed the problem. The grill is amazing and I'm happy to have it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great so far...both smoking and grilling.  It is the most expensive grill I have ever bought, understandably as a 2-in-1 unit.  Heat seems quite evenly distributed, more so than any of my previous cheaper grills.  I'm new at smoking, but have been grilling at least 25 years.  I've successfully smoked tri-tip and ribs mostly.  There's a learning curve with anything new.  I'm surprised how efficient pellet smoking seems to be.  It doesn't use nearly the amount of pellets per smoke than I thought it would.  And it is nice to burn something other than propane too.  Each heat source has its benefits and having both gives that flexibility.

The only thing keeping me from 5 stars is how easily a couple of the temperature probe receptacles in the electronic unit pushed into the unit rendering them useless, less than 2 months in.  Tech support was great about sending out another electronic unit and I received it in less than a week.  Swapping them out proved relatively simple, even though I had no instructions.  Be sure to keep the lock rings on the outside tight to keep the probe receptacles seated.  Future improvements need to include more firmly seated probe receptacles, which I think means they need to have longer threaded stems on the outside to hold the lock rings and rubber covers.

Great grill/smoker combo, one improvement needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooker works great for smoking and gas grilling. Super easy to use, and plenty of cooking room. The option to be able to smoke and use gas heat at the same time is unlike any other. The only downside is it takes forever to build, and the screws that were provided with the grille to build it were super cheap and multiple broke off with little torque from the screwdriver. Also, the gas connection has a plate that mounts the line inside the box with the gas tank. In order to get this plate to match up with the pre-punched screw holes, the gas line had to have a tight kink in it. I decided not to mount the line in order to keep the gas line relatively straight. The gas and smoking functions are super easy to use. A little bit of improvement on the design/hardware and this thing would be perfect.

Great product! Easy to use, not easy to build.

I live in Canada and bought this unit in the US as the price in Canada worked out to be $1000 more from the distributor.  Setup instructions were good but took about 5 hours to get it done.  I must say it is a very solid machine with everything lining up perfectly.  I have cooked a brisket on it to perfection and it heats up plenty good for grilling steaks.  The difference that I found from my Weber was the dome temperature is lower because of the vent on top.  I mostly bbq with it vs smoke and it would be nice to have a cover that could go over the vent when cooking whole beer can chicken to get the crispy skin all around.  The technology piece is excellent and works very well for me.  I highly recomend this grill and am still learning how to cook my favorites with the dome temperature being a lower temp.

Lifetime Grill experience in Canada

The grill itself functions great. However, there were several parts of the grill that were scratched pretty bad. It looked as though the grill was used, but sold as new.

I bought this grill / smoker over a year agog. Missing parts and the app truly was terrible.  I'd be standing right next to the grill and it rarely would connect over Bluetooth.  Now they discontinued the app…not surprised. I've given up using it as a smoker, 
I need to replace the diffusers and the cooking elements.  About ready to send it to scrappers.
