Don't know why the previous reviewer only gave it one star because of a defective disc??? The show is one of the highest rated on tv.

Concerning the content....The show was amazing. It did start kinda slow, however, they had to build the characters. I am totally addicted to the show.

The actual product has a slip cover, and it is very hard to put it back on without marking up the box. Mine looks very used already. So once you take the slip cover off, try not to put it back on until you are done watching the whole set.

But overall, I thought the value was terrific and I am so happy I bought it. A great buy!!!!

The Mad Men series is great! Walmart's price was the lowest I found. I did not watch the series when it first came on, but I am hooked now. The music CD for season 1&2 is also great. I love the 1960's since I grew up then.

Great show

Sorry, but how do you know that a DVD is defective until you watch it? The first disc of Madmen was orange in color and extremely dark so you couldn't see the characters. Then 15 minutes into the program the color was normal but it kept throwing me back to the beginning. I packed up the discs (didn't bother to review any more) and instead of getting my money back (I know you can copy but who wants to copy a defective disc) I got a credit. I have to say the people working there were great.
You should have a way of reviewing the discs if someone says they are defective. If they are defective than give back our money. If not, we own it. It's the only way to prevent copying. If people know you are checking they won't return non-defective DVD's.

A defective product

I heard about this series and started recording season 3, but never watched any. Now for Christmas I received season 1 & 2 and can't get enough

I'm very happy with this product. Mad Men is a great t.v. show and I love all of the extras stuff on the disks.

The price was the best but the DVDs do not play and get frozen on the menu. The quality is very poor. Going to try them on a Blu Ray....
