It clips right onto your vent, and you can choose the strength of scent with the slider. It doesn't really smell like a true new car scent, but that's a hard scent to imitate. The aroma is quite pleasant and clean though, and I've bought this one several times. Just by leaving it on the weakest aroma strength, the car still smells great.
