So much better than the kind with coiled elements, and super wide to heat a whole frying pan, rather than just a section of it!  Great for Buffet Dinners where you want to keep the Cheese Sauce Hot and Runny! Not just warm!

Great for Keeping Hot Foods Hot!

Works well and price is good as I bought it during promotion period. Cast iron hot plate improves  efficiency and conserves energy for extended warming.

finicky item

It is not equal to my oven top element for Hi heat. Seems to take too long to boil water. And seems to shut off after being on hi heat

Not great.

This "1500W Countertop Electric Hot Plate" gets rusty after a week. The plate has not been in contact with water or other liquids. Very poor quality plate. I can provide pictures if needed.
