This stuff saved my fish. I had two fish die within a few hours of each other, wasn't sure what I was doing wrong. I tested the water, ph levels, ammonia, nitrate, nitrites and everything was perfect. My betta began showing signs of fin rot, or something along those lines, so I did some research and decided to get this. It fixed the problem within a day. I really thought all my fish were going to die but this, along with the Pimafix, cured everything. I used both simultaneously, as instructed. If you're on the fence about getting it. Buy it. Every fish owner should have these on hand, because it can be difficult to determine what the exact problem is, so having one thing that fixes it all, is a godsend.

Good for certain bacteria infections in your tanks

I have a 50 gal tank that has multiple different kinds of fish, our pride and joy being our 3 year old black ghost knife fish. One of our tetras got popeye and after researching treatments safe for freshwater fish, we went with this brand here. Not even 15 minutes after dosing our tank (with the correct dosage) our ghost fish started acting/swimming really strange and then looked as if she basically had died. We immediately looked it up on Google and found out that Melafix had very quickly killed other BGKF and we got her into a quarantine tank ASAP. Were still waiting to see if she makes it... I really wish this bottle came with a warning label stating its not safe for all freshwater fish. Were really kicking ourselves because we know shes sensitive but I honestly just assumed it was safe for every freshwater fish and it had some very good reviews. Please be careful. My suckers, angelfish, and tetras are doing fine after dosing. (Trying to post this review in multiple places to warn others who have exotic freshwater fish)

DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE FISH

this product definitely does not work. followed directions and my betta still got fungas and popeye.
