It only adds a couple of mm to the pads thickness, the detachable keyboard is great to type on and being free from the screen means an easier work set up ALSO of course 1/2 your screen isn't taken up by keyboard! I use it with a Apple Pencil which still clips magnetically but protrudes a bit and needs care to ensure it's not knocked off

After using the Flip Folio keyboard with my iPad for several months I'm genuienly impressed with how well it strikes the perfect balace between functionality nad portability. It's become an essential part of my iPad workflow - i was looking for a lightweight, non-intrusive keyboard to turn my iPad into a full time laptop and this hit the nial on the head. 

What I love most is its compact thoughtful design. It's not bulky and the iPad still feels like an iPad, not a laptop. It can easily be tucked away to act as a regular tablet. The keys have soft touch yet a great feel and it's provided a quality typing experience.

Perfect Balance of Form and Function

I bought the pale grey with orange trim and am very happy with it. Love being able to use iPad either landscape or portrait modes and that the iPhone can sit next to it.  Handier than I thought it would be.

Great purchase, glad I got one!

Easy to connect and works like a dream. It is bulker then I expected and it feel a touch heavy even when the key lard is not attached. I greatly dislike the stand. It's just how I would think it should be. It's also not adjustable but it's not advertised to be so.

Standard

I really like this design. Having a keyboard that doesn't require being attached to the iPad in use makes it possible to use it more comfortably and ergonomically than a laptop. You can spread out. The only unpleasant surprise has been that the Flip Folio is surprisingly heavy. It seems like it weighs as much or more than the iPad itself. It would be great if a future version of this could be lighter.

Great (but heavy)

Lighter and has promise, could be better. The magnets holding the keyboard to the case need to be stronger. Don't always need the keyboard when opening and or folding the case to stand up. The keyboard is loosely attached. Magnets need to be stronger so the keyboard stays attached when manipulating the case.

The keyboard functions well but it's battery operated! For the cost I would have liked to see something chargeable and maybe with backlighting on the keyboard. The keys are difficult to see sometimes without any kind of backlighting. It's even hard to tell if the caps lock is on or not. Plus, having to replace it with batteries when it dies is very inconvenient. I needed this in a pinch but if I knew then what I know now I would have saved my money.

Not worth the price

I am using this now in a restaurant, I have three issues: No keyboard light, keyboard falls off case easily, and no place to secure pen. The latter two would be early to fix and the first would have to accept shorter battery life.

Disappointed

The case itself doesn't fully protect the iPad. The bendable cover is really hard to bend to the point that I feel like I will break the case if I bend it too much. The keyboard is perfect for on the go use and I use it daily.

Case doesn't fully protect iPad

This turned out to be a disappointment. The "folding stand" feels flimsy and about to snap off at any moment. The keyboard and magnetic backing offer little protection from bumps or drops. It's heavier than I expected, and it's also more clunky and less slim. The Combo Touch for iPad Pro is a far superior product, and I would recommend that instead.
