The only thing I did not like about this product was the outside transmitter mounting. It is not sturdy and is harder to mount than my previous sky scan transmitter.

It is a very good time , date, year machine.

It is not easy to set up.. The instructions, as usual, were probably written by the guys that made the thing. They always leave out a few steps that they think are obvious, Like: "DONT HOLD DOWN THE LAST SET BUTTON WHEN SETTING THE VARIOUS FUNCTIONS"

GREAT for a senior citizen who forgets things

I like being able to see both indoor and outdoor temps. I had a little trouble getting the outdoor temp to synch up. Twenty four hours later, I had to remove the batteries from the clock about 3 or 4 times to get it to see the outdoor signal. Works great now. This is my second La Crosse Digital Clock, one for home and one for on the road. Thanks

Just what I wanted

A friend of ours had given us one of these about 9 years ago as a gift so when the transmitter stopped working a few weeks ago, we ordered another one (this one) ... of course, we didn't know that you could order just the transmitter at that time (from the La Crosse website!) When the clock arrived from Walmart.com, we followed the directions - however, it took FIVE hours from the time we set up the transmitter for it to change the time and show outside temp. We thought there was something wrong with the batteries and switched the batteries twice but of course that didn't help. The 1st clock we had was up and running in 5 minutes! We were ready to pack up this new clock and take it back when miraculously, everything appeared!! So if you get this clock, do not be dismayed when it doesn't work within 5 minutes.

La Crosse Atomic Clock

The product provides everything I had in my old Barolo one but the brightness of the temps, day and sate is much dimmer. Can't read them from 6 feet away at night. Would be nice if they improved the product so ALL info can be read at night without walking up to the product.

I'm a light sleeper and loved that this was a digital clock with no light in the background. The indoor/outdoor temp reading is a great feature to have so I know how to dress for the day. This is actually my 3rd clock I've purchased of the brand! This time around the clock made a humming noise as soon as I put the battery in so I had to return it and most likely exchange it for a new one. I hate that you can only purchase online but would recommend it in the future.

3 try a charm?

I brought the product home and discovered that a Philips screwdriver was needed to remove it from the packaging. Odd, very odd.

As I lift the clock from the package I hear something loose inside. The clock does work but still loose parts inside.

I go to the Lacrosse web site to see about warranty service. The site bounces me around and I fill out the form three times. The complaint is "I have model WS-8115U and it has loose parts inside." three times. A couple of days later I get a response, basically Invalid model number. BTW - I selected the model number from a drop down list on their web site. So I respond with the model number from the instructions. (WS-8115U) I've heard no response from Lacrosse since response several days ago.

I admit that I am an Idiot! This is my third or fourth Lacrosse product. One was exchanged at my shipping expense, twice and I finally gave it away after giving up on the remote temperature / humidity sensor. So now I have a fourth product with loose parts inside. It seems to work even with the loose parts inside.

IMO, in summary, poor quality and non existent customer service. Spend your money on another brand.

BTW - Walmart was efficient in shipping the product. It arrived earlier than predicted.

Loose Parts Inside / Avoid Lacrosse products

When I unboxed this digital clock, something was loose inside the clock enclosure. After putting batteries in it, the clock would not set automatically via the radio signal. I removed the back of the enclosure and discovered the radio antenna was flopping loose around inside the enclosure and the electronic connection was damaged. The assembly process utilized hot melt glue which did not bond the antenna to the enclosure. VERY POOR!

I returned the clock and forgot to remove the two new Duracell batteries. I am out the cost of the batteries, the time spent to order, the time/fuel to pick up this clock at Walmart and of course THE TIME SPENT TO WRITE THIS REVIEW!

Very poor design and assembly process

Not a very good product! Could not get the outside temperature to register.  Even called technical support at La Crosse for assistance and they said, apparently you have a defective one!!

Atomic Clock

Very disappointed, arrived damaged. Something was loose inside unit, would not update time and date. I returned it.
