At first, I bought one cream to give it a try and check its texture. After using it a few times, I realized this cream was exactly what I was looking for. It absorbs quickly, isn't greasy, and has no strong scent. I was so impressed that I ordered more hand creams to stock up.

This helped me clear my skin alot, I can never go back to any other product. Its so soothing on the skin and very hydrating. My skin had been irritated for months and everything i applied on my face made it worse. This helped with the small bumps and the texture of my skin. I have got my friends hooked on this as well. A very big advocate for this product. For people who have tried everything and nothing seems to work.Give this a shot!

This is my second time buying Cicaplast balm b5 and the first time buying the new formula with dimethicone. The formula without dimethicone was more suiting and better tolerated. On the EWG site though they say it's an acceptable ingredient it rates “ yellow 2-4 passable in terms of safe ingredient. What I don't understand is when you go on the French site of la Roche posay, they sale the formula without dimethicone … Europe have more strict rules about the use of certain ingredients in products. Perhaps if so many people preferred the old version , maybe the product should go back to it's original formula

Maybe remove the dinethicone

I used to love the old formulation, and sought out another tube when my skin needed some extra moisture and calming. When I purchased it, I hadn't realized there was a new formulation, and the one I bought is called "Cicaplast Baume B5 - Conditioning Pro-Vitamin B", which I can't seem to find anywhere else. I tried it out, and it broke me out in a way that hadn't happened when I previously bought it, so I was really disappointed. I compared the ingredients list to the current "Soothing Relieving Balm" and there are a few differences that I spotted, so I'm not sure whether the one I bought was a weird discontinued version of it or something.

Overall, pretty disappointed with how this game-changing baume ended up getting changed into.

What happened??

I bought this a week ago because my skin was irritated from using retinol. 
I was thinking I would just use this and nothing else for a few days till my skin barrier was restored.
I used it close to my eyes thinking it's do gentle it won't be a problem. Apparently it was a problem. The product however did say NOT to use in eye area, so my bad.
I took a deep dive looking at ingredients and much to my surprise it has Sun protection ingredients in it. I am thinking it must be significant because it certainly feels like using a thick SPF on your face that us hard to remove as well.
Was not impressed at all by this.
Good news is I returned it and bought Toleriane Dermallergro face cream and eye cream and it helped with my irritation. They are both fabulous.

Not what I expected

This is my 3rd attempt at a negative review… Been rejected every time. Basically since the new cream I've been breaking out. I went away for a couple days, forgot the cream, and my breakout cleared up. Too bad I can't use the cream anymore. It was the only La Roche product that worked on my skin.

I used this on my face and it was perfect on day one at reducing redness and moisturizing my face but,..on days two and three, I began to get acne bumps and red irritated skin. Not sure if it's the shea butter or an allergy but this product made my skin worse. Do not recommend

Do not recommend

I loved the old formula and used it for years. My skin looked great, never flaky, always dewy and somehow kept my acne in check. I recently bought the new “improved” version and it's anything but that. I woke up with dry and flaky skin. I have since returned it. Why mess with such a great product?! Please bring back the old version, maybe make it the rich version. Does anyone have any tubes of the old formula kicking around? So bummed…

Why change such a great product?!

I have always trusted this brand and now I am questioning all of their products. I have used this product in the past and recently repurchased to use it again for winter. I noticed it's not working great. There is outrage for change of formulation, so I did some more digging. In the UK the formula is still the old one. UK has stricter rules for crappy unsafe ingredients. I suspect the addition of dimethicone makes the product cheaper to make.
