Love this hard Drive

I used Windows Explorer to copy files instead of the program on it and it worked fine. It needs a USB-C connection rather than the USB-A I was expecting, probaby to supply power to run the drive. There was no photo of the included cable so I've added one below. My files are safely on my new computer and I'm keeping this drive handy for backups.

Very easy to use

These are great for portable storage but I use 3 for backing up my machine. Speed is not really fast but it does not matter since it's auto back up while I am asleep. I even designed a 3D printed part to allow these to neatly stack together yet leaves air space for cooling.

Just does the job

Good harddrive, functional out of the box. Great price for the storage space. Transfer speeds are tenable and the physical drive looks durable.

good value external HD

Using the device for the first time needed some assistance from apple for the imac, but once done, very simple to use.  It is fast as well, saving between 11 and 25 mbs per second depending on pics or vids.

installed, added a folder title.  it would not load again. Went to best buy in case it was a me problem.  their systems could not find it either. They did say it was a good product generally speaking. Mine was just defective. Returned

I can't even register the product!  First, LaCie is now Seagate?!?  And I need a LaCie account!? And a Seagate account!?!  Worst new user experience.  Will be returning shortly.  I am disgusted!
