I always wanted a LaCie HD, especially for photos and videos. The transfer speed is incredible! I highly recommend this for anyone with large amounts of family photos or video editing. It's also super quiet, helping reduce any noise disruptions at home.

The transfer speed is around 40MB/s.  Much slower than the 130MB/s I read in the specs.  Very very disappointing.
