Excellent product - the fact that the 'take up' area is at an angle keeps the yarn (as compared to a vertical take up) tight and in a ball. Excellent!!!!

Yarn Ball  Winder II

I have wound skeins of yarn into balls by hand for two years. Finally bought this and loved it from day 1. Granted, I havent had it very long so I cant say anything about how long it will last but it has made winding skeins into cakes of yarn so much easier!!! It was easy to use and did what it was supposed to!

The best thing I have bought

It works great I wish someone told me before it works with all of my yarn and it's easy to use. My service was a little slow but overall I think it was ok.

Yarn winder

I have been crocheting for 11 years and finally bought a yarn ball winder to clean up my yarn supply. The winder is super easy to use, the arm had no problems staying up and in place. I was able to wind all but my largest skeins of yarn. I can now open my yarn drawers without having to hold the yarn in place and I can see all of my yarn.

It works great.  A lot easier than doing it by hand.  I would recommend to my friends.

This yarn winder seems to be built very well but the ball is smaller than what I like.  The one I ended up with was only $19.99 but $5 shipping; which broke after 2 years (about 50 balls).  I always use 2 strands of yarn (loom knitting) so I have to ball all my yarn.

not big enough

I was using this and the crank decided to come out of its spot so now when I turn it it will not work. Emailed company and they offered 2 dollars back and for me to keep it I asked for a replacement and they have not answered.
