Ease Of Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This looks like a neat product.  I got them for Christmas gifts so not sure of how  it works, but so far I am really happy with it.

Good value and easy to use.

Bought one last summer. Bought 3 more for Chrismas gifts.  Easy to read and understand.
Tells at a glance the rainfall for  last hour, day.
Month etc.   No maintenance. Self empties. 
Exceeded my expectations  considerably.

Excellent product.

When I first received this unit, I was unable to get the rain sensor to connect with the monitor. I tired changing to different brands of new batteries, looked online for solutions and had no success. I finally sent an email to La Crosse and they responded immediately. The customer service rep said they would send out  new sensor and I received the sensor within days. I inserted the batteries in both units and it synced up immediately. It has been working flawlessly since then. It seems to be pretty accurate as I have a regular rain gauge just inches from the sensor and they both read about the same. I have the monitor in my kitchen window and it does not lose connection. I hove being able to see at a glance how much rain I have had. I am very happy with this unit and extremely impressed with the La Cosse customer service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement.  The previous one only lasted two years so that is why I only gave it four stars.  We have other La Crosse gauges, so this is the only one compatible or I might have chosen a different type.  Overall, we like the functions, but we just wish they lasted longer.  This is the third one we have bought in a span of about seven years.

Good Functions...Could last longer

Worked like a charm . . . twice. Then started recording only about half of the actual quantity of rainfall reported by my large clear tube-type rain gauge.  Also, I have to keep it within about 15 feet of the display to prevent losing the signal.  I thought about exercising my warranty but I don't want another like this one.

Pleased, then disappointed.
