I bought this unit to replace a similar LaCrosse weather station that I had for over 10 years, we called him our "little man" because it was the model with the guy that would change from holding an umbrella to wearing shorts to wearing a coat depending on the weather. Only had this one for a couple weeks, but so far I really like it. Easier and faster to program than my old one. Temp difference between inside & outside is minimal when sitting side by side. Overall it seems accurate and living in GA I like having humidity reading both inside and outside.

I love it!

This product will tell you everything about the weather that you could possibly want to know.  Clear numbers that are easy to read.  It is fairly easy to set  up.

This weather station has all the information I wanted clearly visible on a large screen.  It is easy to set up.  I am totally satisfied with the product.

Happy with this purchase

Large screen, very easy to read from a distance.  Seems to be very accurate, having seen temps hovering just above/below freezing and showing 32 or less if there's ice, 32 or more if there's rain.  The inside readings track well with 2 other weather stations (both Accu-Rite) whose outside sensors have failed within weeks of purchase for a similar price...and this one has the automatic time keeping based on signals from the Ft. Collins, CO WWV standard which those Accu-Rites didn't have.

LaCrosse Weather Station

Many of the weather stations on the market have become packed with an overwhelming amount of information on the screen.  For weather geeks this may be great,  as for me, I wanted a few simple things that were actually hard to find. Either too much info or not enough.  Personally, I like a large display of indoor/outdoor temps, time, date and day of the week. I don't need displays of "trending weather"  whether it's sunny or cloudy, if it's possibly going to rain, etc.  I actually have windows in my home and I don't seem to have any issues with looking out through them...Lol.  This unit gives me the core info that I need without being bombarded with a bunch of erroneous beta,  colors, and images of suns and clouds.  Don't really need the moon phase display (did I mention I have windows in my home) but the humidity feature while unnecessary, where I live, may be nice for those who live in a humid climate.  If you looking for ALL the bells and whistles, this unit is not for you, that said, if you want the "basics" at a good price, I would higly recomend this weather station.

I guess I didn't read the description closely. I didn't realize the clock isn't radio controlled. Other than that it does a good job.

No NIST update

Had the unit for about two weeks before returning it. The unit would work for a couple days and then loose contact with the outside transmitter. Using the techniques suggested by the documentation I could not get the two units to communicate, including bring them within a foot of each other. However, after a couple of hours it would start working (and then continue for another couple of days).

Works sometimes

The sensors on this are too inaccurate to be useful. Both indoor and outdoor humidity sensors are frequently off by 5% - 10%, though on rare occasions they are approximately correct. The indoor temperature sensor is usually about right, but the outdoor temperature is correct only some of the time. Not infrequently it is off by 3-5 degrees. The readings don't have to be dead on, but the variation I'm seeing is simply too much.

When I say the readings are off, I'm comparing them to several other units I have that I've found to be accurate in the past and that are currently in agreement with each other.

The display on this unit is nice. It has some nice features that would make a decent, fairly simple unit. But without reasonably accurate information, none of that matters.

I've had this unit for 10 days now. I'm going to pack it up today for return.
