Ladder 5 Shelf Wall Unit by Gateway Creations is an ideal compliment to any home or home office.   The shelf unit is constructed from solid pine timber.    The finish is an grey paint with an application of a wax to protect the wood and allow the true nature of the wood to be present. Grey Book Ladder

Good moveable shelving for a small space.  Note that the higher shelves are not very deep, best suited for small objects and that the unit fits best against your wall if your baseboard is not too tall.  Can be secured against the wall but I chose not to.

Ladder style book shelf unit

I bought it mainly for the look. It says it's made from pine wood but the quality is not impressive. The holes are not all pre-drilled so I had to use some force to get the screws in, and the wood cracked twice near where the screws went it. Also, the wood is gray-washed but it's not uniform so from up close it looks like someone did a bad painting job. From afar, when we're standing a few feet away it blends better. Overall, ok product, does the job, I wouldn't put anything heavy on it.

For what I paid worth it $35 but one of the shelves was split upon arrival. I did have to glue it.

Looks good from far, but far from good. Cheap wood. Cracks & splits easily.

Poor product colour washed away and screw holes not match, waste of money and time.

Poor product

This could have gotten a 5 star for it's look and use but when I started to put it together I noticed the bottom shelf had a crack half way through it.  To put it back in the box and take it back to the store is a waste of time for me so I tossed it in the garbage and am looking for a replacement but it will not be this product this time. I wish I had of read all the reviews about this product before buying as a few said their shelf came with cracks as well.  Hard earned money down the drain!

The item arrived in a strangely packed Box, I open it and well it was a returned item, so full of flaws. I am really disappointed this is not the first time this has happened to me.. I no longer want to order online.
