This bench is beautiful.  It has the rustic look I was looking for and it is a perfect addition to my yard which is surrounded by trees.  I stained it a natural oak color and it took the stain very well.

This item is nice, easy to assemble, appears sturdy, but the wood on the seat is a little rough for Lycra or synthetic fabrics in yoga pants. We sanded it and stained it. The wold color is nice but if you don't stain it the bench will turn gray and look very old, which is not a bad thing if you are going for a rustic look. I still need a cushion for it because it's still a little rough on synthetic fabrics after sanding and staining. But if you're all about jeans and cotton shirts you'll be just fine on it after sanding.

Appealing rustic look and comfortable seating.  It has a nice heavy weight which is important where I live - lots of strong wind (20 mph +) on a regular basis.  The only drawback was having to sand it due to roughness in several places on the arms and several spots on the seat boards.  If staining the bench, I recommend using a straight stain and then applying a separate sealer.  I tried a blended stain/sealer and it looked awful.  The seat boards absorbed the stain fairly evenly; but, none of the round parts of the bench would.
