This chair is crafted from beautiful and sturdy Northern White Cedar trees that give this chair a rustic look. This wood is naturally durable, and won't rot or attract insects with prolonged use. This patio chair can be finished with a quality penetrating oil, or left to weather naturally to a silvery gray color. Some of the logs used may have cracks called checks that occur naturally, giving the set a more rustic look. These checks don't have any impact on the strength of the wood over time. 

The chair features a specially designed contoured seat that allows you to be in total comfort at all times, no need for seat cushions. The ends are perfectly rounded and sanded to avoid cutting into the backs of your legs or knees when sitting.

very sturdy

We wanted a rocker to set on our front porch that would last more than a year or two. We sit on a hill and get a lot of wind, rain, and cold from that angle. We put a good sealer and liked the golden hue which brought out the cedar grain. Our son put it together within 30 minutes and we bought a cushion for it that makes it comfy. My husband weighs 300 pounds and sits in it every day. Being on a fixed income, we are happy with the cost and may buy another one. No problems, no regrets!

No regrets!

I loved the fact that these chairs were insect resistant and rot resistant. We have them on a covered porch but it still gets some moisture and critters on it. The chairs weren't complicated to put together and once together they are very comfortable and relaxing to rock in. Another thing I love about them is that they are different. Alot of people have rocking chairs, but not many people have these on their porches. Also loved that these were offered as Site to Store merchandise. Even better! Home Depot has these chairs but don't have them site to store so Walmart saves you the shipping costs. Thank you Walmart!!

Comfortable and relaxing chair

rocking chair is nice looking, but it hardly rocks back and forth. also the surface of the chair is VERY ROUGH. So you need to be prepared to sand and finish the chair or get splinters in your......... whatever!!!

Otherwise, the chair is ok. Sturdy.......... also, we had to re-drill some of the holes for the screws. For the price, it is ok.

cedar log rocking chair

Look great. Took -45 minutes to assemble

This is a quality chair once together. When bolting the rockers on, I would highly recommend drilling a small pilot hole, which the instructions mention doing that to ease the assembly, but I did not and two of the bolt heads twisted right off, so I had to buy new bolts from a hardware store. The other thing I am curious about is the chair smells like wood, but definitely not like cedar. Part of what made me choose this chair was that it was cedar as I love the smell of cedar.

Not Bad for the price

We put it together with power tools, which I highly recommend for ease of assembly and reducing time to put it together. It took 2 of us about an hour. All the parts were there, instructions were clear, and pre-drilled holes lined up. It's very attractive, solid, and rocks fine.

Love this chair

The chair is nice, but the directions to put it together are awful.  No detail at all on the instructions.  The holes for the rocker pieces and the brace pieces aren't pre-drilled so it's hard to get the rocker pieces even.  Also, I understand why some of the pieces are cracked, but they shouldn't have cracked off pieces when assembling.
