[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Old vents allowed birds to enter and build nests also did not seal outside air from entering. these vents only allow door to open out when vent fan is on and do not open inwards. These also seal better not allowing outside air in.

I was perfect for our dryer exhaust on the front of the house. The exhaust exits the house under a bump out and having it covered keeps the cold air drafts out. I will have to add some screen to keep the bugs out. This is a basic all around good product. It comes in two pieces and if you want to, the back comes off and you can use it without the collar piece.
