Effectively seals out dryer back flow of cold air in winter. This is the second one I bought. The 1st one lasted about 17 years, but plastic got dry and cracked, the floating vent sealer didn't close properly for the last few months.  I don't consider that a flaw, as everything is going to wear out eventually. I lightly sanded the vent seal and spray painted a color close to that of the house siding. The previous paint job lasted all 17 years.

Purchased this product to prevent a back draft into the dryer.  
Poor quality product.  The base tubing is two pieces glued together and was not well glued - you can see gaps between the joint.  The product states it's for a 4" vent pipe but I could not insert the pipe into this vent.   After considerable cutting of the dryer pipe, it fitted but split the glued seam.   Taped the split seam with seam tape to prevent air leakage.
 I highly do not recommend this product from Lambro.    Quality is questionable.  I just hope it works to its description.
