I had a lot of fun building and displaying the rover and adding to my other builds.

Timeless Classic in toy version.

Enjoyed this for a quick 30 minute Lego fix!  I wanted an authentic looking vehicle for a town setting that wasn't a supercar, and this ticks this bill perfectly. 
 Looks great with the roof off and rear glass removed too.

It is LEGO!  Nothing but FUN! But requiring 50 characters in the review is just silly.

This was the perfect set to build with my niece while my nephew was busy on his Jurassic Park set.

2 in to 1

Firstly, I am pleased LEGO are doing some branded vehicles at entry level. And this set is really lovely, as ultimately it is at a size and shape that will make it fit into our LEGO City and be played with alongside other vehicles and buildings. It has a nice rugged, squared shape that is so characteristic of Land Rover. The build was nice. Some of the details are lovely: the way lights at the front and back; are spaced and positioned and the way the rear windows are shaped and finished using normal see-through windows but then at a 90 degree angle. Sadly, it is the overall playability that lets this set down. Somehow the front lights keep popping off, probably because there is no overall 4x2 block securing the bonnet. Then the rear windows don't offer the roof any adhesion/resistance meaning that the roof pops off frequently. Finally, there are no doors making getting in and out rather fiddly through a 4x2 space frame. But overall this model will sit proudly alongside a wider set of LEGO City vehicles and will be subject to many new LEGO adventures yet to come. As a parent, I just hope the Defender sticker at the front lasts another decade or two so this vehicle can keep being legendary even in LEGO form and doesn't get mistaken for, well, other box shaped 4x4 brands new on the market.

Lovely build, but it won't be the star of the show

I love this jeep. The build was thoughtful. Simple yet unpredictable at times. I always appreciate that. I especially like the fact that there's the option of having it set up in multiple ways- hard roof cover, open top etc. It's a must have piece. Got it for my wife and she loves it
