I did a lot of research and looked at the many many fan options here prior to purchasing this. Let me tell you, it paid off. I live in a studio apartment, and I can literally feel the breeze of this fan from my door (I have it placed at the opposite far end of the apt). It helps push the AC air so much as it is pretty much in front of my AC window unit. Makes a huge difference  in keeping my place cool during this dreadfully hot and humid summer. This fan was worth every penny and I would absolutely purchase again.

this fan is great.. simple assembly.. my 12 year old put it together in less than 10 minutes.. it blows the best air.. better air circulattion than my most expensive metal fan.. this fan is plastic but definately proves its self.. its not quiet but its not loud. just regular fan sound.. 
if you sleep with it blowimg on you be prepared to have the sneezes and and maybe a sore throat in the morning.. its that good..

Large quiet fan.

The package arrived 3 days early. I assembled it in ten minutes, plugged it in and it worked. It is quiet and circulates a significant amount of air. We bought this one because we have another similar to it that we've been using for 2 years with no problems. It is light, easy to pick up and move and oscillates with 3 speeds.

Great value for the money.

I was a little taken back after opening the box to find all of the main parts are made of plastic.  Other Lasko fans have the fan inclosier made out of metal.  It took some time to attach the back and front hoods together and have them lock in place.  Unlike the metal hoods.  I would have given the fan a 5 star rating if metal was used for the fan hoods.  Other then that the fan works great.  My guess is by using plastic it might keep the cost down?

Fan looks good and works fine. The plastic material is extremely thin and cheap, so be gentle handling it. It was more difficult to put togetber than it should have been due to the cheap cuts of the pieces, many of which were damaged/imperfect. I had to glue on the last two cover pieces because they were too damaged to click into place. Overall it is a fine fan, but extremely cheaply made and it shows in the quality.

This fan is faster on level 1 than any other fan in my house. It's also noisier than most fans in general. I'm taking the one I bought over to my dad's house instead of keeping it here. He doesn't care how loud it is when its on 1. This thing might blow a young child away at level 3. lol. Not really but would seem like it.

Too noisy and too fast at 1 and 2nd level.
