This is the perfect fan to have at your bedside if you get overly warm during the night (night sweats, hot flashes, etc.). The bottom stays stationary and the top can either remain stationary or oscilate. I sleep much better with this quiet, talented wonder!

Bought 2 - 
One in the bedroom is on a nightstand.  It is quiet and has a nice even breeze blowing across the bed.  I have it directed right at the bed and it keeps us much cooler than when using the ceiling fan.  

One in the kitchen is on the counter top near the stove.  Blows the heat of the range right out the backdoor and helps keep the kitchen at a tolerable temperature (most days!) 

The kitchen fan is set to oscillate on high speed; the bedroom fan is stationary and on medium speed.  It's really nice to have those options.   

The fan is small enough and light enough to easily move from room to room as needed.  I have set one on the bathroom vanity a couple of times (though I would not leave it unattended that close to the sink).

Bought 2, might need to buy a third!!

The fan is a "tower". It also rotates and uses less space than a regular fan due to it's shape. this fan has 2 sections to it that increase the radius of the wind space. I use it by my computer and it is sot so disturbing to my paperwork, while creating a comfortable environment.

Great in tight spaces

This is the 3rd identical fan I have purchased. I love this fan, works perfect to move air around from more than one direction. Each one has lasted for more than 10 years. I have one in my bedroom, and one in my sitting room. I recently broke my ankle and had to buy another as the previous one no longer rotated and I needed more air movement to make me more comfortable in my agony. It is doing the trick nicely.

Excellent fan

Works very well, has developed  an irritating noise when f I rst turned on though. It is a great little fan for my small room needs though.

When I first turned it on, it made a loud rattling sound at all speeds.  I couldn't hear anything moving within it to cause the sound.  After a few minutes, the rattling sound abruptly ceased, and I haven't heard it since.  I still don't know what caused it.  If it was a screw or other small piece that dislodged inside during shipping, I wonder how long it will be before that causes the whole thing to stop working.  So far, though, it hasn't affected it at all.  I like the 3 speeds and the amount of air that it generates.  It's a bit noisy, but not more so than any other desk fan I've used in the past.  Overall, I am happy with my purchase - just keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way!

Weird rattling sound at first, now works just fine

The split fan feature is nice but it's manual and is stationary, but if it wasn't that would drive the price up. Good for a table top fan. Works well. Good air flow so that makes it a little louder but it's not obnoxious.

When purchasing a fan, I always by the Lasco brand. This tabletop fan is nice, powerful for its size. It doesn't take up much space. Was surprised, when it on the highest fan speed it makes a bit of noise. Other than that would still recommend

It appears this item may have been a return and resold as new.  Maybe this is a defective unit, but barely blew any air at all, had to have my hand right up to the vents to feel any air movement at all. And, it didn't "dual" oscillate. The top and bottom halves of the unit would not rotate independently of each other.  Pretty disappointed.
