It's been around for a long time. I remember wjhen my my dad used it to get the grease off of his hands from farm work. Now it has moisturiser with it. Use it to wash my hands (kinda of strong smell) Good to use during the virus.

We at our home all love our LAVA soap and when I learned it wouldn't come with the entire shipment at first I thought we couldn't live without it but a couple days after the other items were received Lava appeared on our step and I cheered for this surprise.
Other than a little inconvenience we were back to work cleaning up a leveled black walnut tree and all of it's dirty black walnuts.  LAVA DID THE INVISIBLE DIRT TRICK RIGHT AWAY !

Add is miss leading.  Lists a quanity of 12 bars for $6.10 and received only one.  Soap is good, Wal Mart is not!

The "Dislikes" do not indicate a lack of effectiveness of the product.  It works very well but unfortunately must be "tough" to remove paint, oil, grime, and other substances.

I hadn't seen Lava Soap for years...not in a grocery, anyway...then a blogging friend of mine mentioned it in an article on her blog, and it occurred to me that it was a very effective product, and I am engaged in painting projects galore just now! It's gentle enough on your skin, but does make them clean again!

Lava Soap is a necessity in any household!

Good old Lava bar soap, love it.
With no more boraxo, this is my go-to.

Loved the abrasive effect on my hands, although I could detect no signs of volcanic activity therein.

WOW...THIS STUFF IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO BUY AGAIN.

It is listed as 24 pack, not 1 bar.  It even says total ship weight was over 9 lbs.  You need to change the listing to state  that it's 1 bar of soap for $6.99.
