Like most of the Lava Lamps in our collection, this one is awesome and was a must have, at least for us, as it will perfectly color match the newly painted bedroom it will be in, which has 3 light blue walls, 1 dark blue wall with metallic silver stars and silver trim! 
How perfect is THAT??? :)

We'll add a couple photos so you can see for yourself. 
One without flash to show off the liquid, one with flash to show the lamps better. 
The lamps were turned on for at least 5 hours in both photos.
The Red one is about 5 or 6 years old, the Rainbow one just arrived with the Silver base with Blue liquid/Purple bubbles one early this morning .
This lamp took around 3 hours to start flowing good, the rainbow one took about 4 hours, but as they age some do start flowing much sooner.

I actually purchased two of these because the first one is so beautiful. The second was a bust as it was scratched and wax just bounced around in big balls not the beautiful, long stretchy strands like the first one. Im giving it 5 stars regardless because the first one is gorgeous and they easily took the bad one back.

1 was beautiful,  1 was blah.

Great vibrant color and bubbles! Doesnt get too hot and very space friendly!

i sleep in the basement of a house, and it tends to get very dark at night, my eye sight isn't the best anymore and i can see somewhat with out my glasses. but to avoid stubbing my toes or knocking into things with my feet or legs i needed a night light that was both appealing and reminiscent of an era i grew up in. the night light that i have is about 20 years old, still works but i wanted a newer one. i retired the old one for a while, and bought 2 new ones to cover the areas that i needed a soft light to aid me to see in the dark while not affecting my sleep. the purple/blue is dark enough to see by and has enough light to see by that when i get up for those trips to the kitchen or bathroom i don't bump my feet or legs or stub my toes. the lava lamps are serving their purpose

for those people (adults) who like nostalgia.

The product is great. Everyone like it. The only problem is that it came a little dirty. Almost as if some of the liquid had dripped onto the lava lamp during the production process. Besides that it works just as expected.

It looks nice but my Grandson used it one night %26 the bulb burned out  .  I felt bad.  I'm very disappointed.  That was a Christmas gift.

I had this shipped to my 8 year old niece for her birthday and it came to her as a bag of broken glass and water. If your going to ship something liquid and breakable then put the appropriate packing material in the box to protect the merchandise!

It arrived in (seemingly) perfect condition and time,however shipping seems to have rendered it useless. It will not melt. Plugged in for 8 hrs and nothing

going to be returned

Liquid inside the lava lamp should be clear blue as advertised, but instead is cloudy and difficult to see the purple "lava"
