[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased Botley for an Easter gift. It is one of my favorite products of Learning Resources.

My child Bailey is in Excel in school and always loves pushing her learning.  She has loved Botley the Coding Robot.  This is such a great tool and she loved teaching her younger siblings also with it.  It is bright and fun with a cute voice seeming very friendly.  The set comes with a ton of extras such as a track and obstacles for it to guide through.  Comes with many coding cads for a child to follow to code the robot to duplicate and it is enjoyable to see their expressions as the robot repeats the coded steps.  What a great way to have fun and learn at the same time!

My son immediately started playing with Botley and it held his attention for hours. We struggle with finding toys that held my son's attention. He spent a while trying to figure out how to get around objects. He built LEGO obstacles for Botley and then he tried to figure out how many times he had to move to get to and around an object. It is a little complicated for young kids, but if you are looking for something to mentally stimulate and challenge your child then this is a perfect toy for them.

Intellectually Stimulating

Botley the Coding Robot is AMAZING!! My girls (7 and 6) love building new obstacle courses and line patterns for Botley!! Botley provides HOURS for endless fun that does not require a computer or an app to play with!! However, I must say that I think Botley is better suited for older kids (maybe 7 and older). Especially when it comes to programming Botley to do something other than working in line mode.

Endless Fun

My son had a lot of fun trying different codes to program Botley!  We are still learning how to use it, but that is part of the fun!  The only downfall I can see right now is that sometimes you have to press the transmit button several times.  Other than that, no complaints!

Fun and educational!

We received the Botley Coding Robot the other day!.  My children (3 and 7) were excited to open up the box.  It was nicely wrapped up and came with many fun gadgets.  The first thing my daughter said was, "Awwwww he's cute!"  We had to search for many batteries for the robot and the controller, so that tested my kids' patience!  My children, mostly my 7 year old, played with the robot for at least an hour when we opened it.  She became frustrated when she couldn't make it move more than just forward.   Once I helped her out, she started catching on.  We look forward to coding more, and I also look forward to bringing the robot to my classroom!  I believe the older children (9-10) will enjoy it more.

I'm glad I received this from chatterbox for free and did not have to pay because it definitely is not worth the price. I really didn't understand the concept being an adult, how would they think a six year old would. He lost interetest in seconds and has not returned to play with it since.
