I received this toy as part of an incentivized review program. My children love this toy! It can be played in so many ways and has their minds working to figure out the puzzles. Some games are difficult than others depending on the age (mine are 4yr-12yrs). It is very easy to clean up, comes with it's own cute storing case. I can easily put in my purse and have my children play and be entertained while we are out and about running errands. I definitely recommend this toy to everyone.

Great Mental Game

I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. This has been one of my favorite LR products so far. We took this game on the train when we took a trip into the city. The box/case for the game is really well made. The board of the game snaps into the bottom of the case, so it doesn't shake around. I think this really helps since the game is meant to be "on the go." After the kids were done playing, the whole case snapped into place with the pieces in each slot, so that the game didn't move around in my bag. I really love the ability for the game to be played on your own and with other people. They each took turns playing the different games. The instruction booklet made it easy for both of my kids to play on their own. I just had to show them what the object of the game was and they were able to set it up and play on their own. One of their favorite games was the memory game and the simple chess game. Both of the kids found it interactive and entertaining. As a parent, I loved watching them play multiple games on their own during our train ride. They were so into the game, that we didn't even realize that we had arrived at our station. One of the worries I had was that when they played all of the games once they wouldn't want to play again, but they have continued to take out the game and play it again and again. We talk about beating your old record if it is playing on their own or continuing to set up different memory games together. I would definitely recommend this game to other families with kids around the ages of 5-8. Both of my kids enjoyed playing the game and they really like it that they can take it wherever they go. I will definitely be taking it to our next restaurant outing so we don't need to take my electronic devices.

An awesome game on the go

This is a great mind-bending game for all ages (5+)! I would even say it's great for adults--so this a great thinking game to play together (parent and child). I don't love sudoku because numbers make me crazy--but this is essentially the same game with shapes and colors. Love it! There are a variety of challenges for different levels of learners. Once you get good enough, you could even create your own challenges. This game comes in visually-pleasing, bright colors that is sure to attract even the most reluctant player. It worked for me! I would definitely recommend this game. I received this game through an incentivized review program.

Great Sudoku-like Game for Everyone

*I recieved this toy as part of an incentivized review program. We love Mental blox On the Go! This is the perfect toy to put into my bag and pull out at restaurants, doctors appointments and anywhere else where the kiddos have to wait. I love how compact it is and how all the pieces can be stored inside. My daughter (7) really enjoyed the sudoku type game and my son (4) was able to play the matching game without a problem. The box says 5 plus but it can definitely be used in different ways for the younger kiddos. I enjoyed playing it with them and learining the different games. We have a long road trip planned this summer and I know we will be using this game a lot!

Great brain challenges!

This is a great alternative to tv or phone for the kids when on a car ride or having to wait patiently somewhere. It's also a great tool for kindergarten and primary grade levels to have in the classroom as a part of a math center or reward because the teacher can modify it depending on the child's level. My youngest likes to dump it and put it in one at a time whereas the older one likes to sort by colors or shapes. It's fun to see how the product can be modified for different age levels. I received this product through an incentive program.

Great product for on the go

I received this as a free promotional item and I have to say we love it! We have Mental Blox and Mental Blox Jr. and love them all. But this one is by far my favorite. I love that it fits in our back pack when we go to restaurants or parties. I also felt like even though my kiddos are 2 and 3 years old, I could adapt the games for them to play. For example, I would hide pieces and make patterns (which is in the instructions), but just being able to stack them and place them in the container kept them busy all through dinner. And what I love it that all the pieces have a "home" so if we were missing one, I knew to look for it and didn't have to count. This is a great toy for families that travel or just want to go out to dinner and keep their kiddos busy and not on a device.

Yes! Adaptable for my 3 year old!

This game is perfect for kids of all ages! My almost 3.5 year old loves this game! She gets to practice her colors and shapes right now, but I love that it will grow with her and she can continue to play with it for years to come by doing the different challenges listed on the activity guide when she is a little older. She also had fun stacking the pieces and making different patterns in her stacks. I love that all the pieces fit nicely back in the box so clean up is a breeze. We have a lot of trips coming up so we will definitely be taking this game with us both on the plane and on the road. I received this product as part of an incentivized review program.

Awesome on the go game!

I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. Students and adults loved playing the many different games with this one piece. Although students see this is only a game, it allows them o think and focus their attention on patterns and other problem solving skills. The product is sturdy and durable; it can withstand a lot of hard use. It is easy to understand, but not always easy to solve the puzzles! This product is a new twist on the old Sudoku puzzles.

Fantastic Puzzle

I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. This product is great quality like I expect from Learning Resources products. Unfortunately it just didn't keep my 4 year old and 7 year old's attention for long. They like it, but it isn't taken out often. I was a little surprised that it wasn't magnetic since it is an on the go toy. I can see the shapes easily falling during a car or plane ride.

Great Quality

I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. This toy not only entertains but, more uniquely, stimulates critical thinking. It is one of the few toys that I have found that was both engaging and thought provoking. I could almost see the wheels turning in my daughter's head as she played. The accompanying "instructions" suggest a wide range of activities, starting with the fairly simply for a younger child, and progressing in difficulty. Thus, a bonus: this toy can "grow" with my child. It is compact and packaged in a sturdy plastic case for easy transport. I can see this being a toy that endures, both for its solid construction and for its very varied activities.
