I searched for a simple sound machine that had a pleasing white or fan noise that didn't have odd background noises or an obvious loop. This is it! If you want songs or nature sounds, this is not for you. It's simply a range of white, pink, green, brown (?) noises or different fans. Simple to use, and stays on your selection once it is set.  It uses a cord for electricity and is not battery operated. We use it every night to mask household sounds and help induce relaxation.

I am surrounded by extremely loud neighbors- barking dogs, blaring music, banging and thumping that makes everything shake. Ear protection, headphones, and my old white noise machine couldn't even begin to cover that all up. But this one is perfect! It is the absolute loudest white noise machine I could find, and it definitely delivers. It is like standing next to a lawn mower when I have the volume all the way up (I pair with ear plugs and headphones to protect myself), and I finally can't hear any of the neighbors.  I love that it can get super loud but can also be easily adjusted down to any volume level needed. I also like that it doesn't have a fan inside so there are no extra vibrations coming from it- just the noise. I use the brown noise setting and it is perfect for me.

Blocks Traffic Noise

All the reviews were right... this is the best little noise machine! So many fan noise options with different frequencies.... I can always find one that sounds good.  It can get so loud, too! It's small and light and easy to take traveling. Definitely worth the price.

Best noise machine

Bought this to replace my fan running during the winter months.  I have an oxygen concentrater and it makes quite a bit of noise, which prevents me from sleep.  
This little machine covers that noise perfectly and has plenty of various sounds to choose from along with volume level.
No cool breeze anymore during the winter with this little gem.

Works like a charm

Thank you for the speedy shipping of this wonderful product. After nearly 18 months, several fans, many many different types of earplugs, a few unanswered letters, and an unknown number of complaints to my landlord, I finally can sleep. My husband thanks you, my children thank you, and the loved ones of my ignorant, selfish, drunk neighbor above my head every night thanks you as well.  You know when you haven't slept one full night in almost 2 years how slightly irritable you become? Well, I can say that it's not "slightly". With making several huge mistakes at work almost costing me my job, leaving the iron on all day while at said job (that was supposed to be auto shut off but surprisingly isn't) and nearly burning down a 12 unit building, and the last straw was practically sleep driving through a 4 way intersection almost killing my self and others. I finally did my research and found this beauty. It's SO loud, because I MUST turn it to the highest setting to drown out his drunken body falling down on his hardwood floor or his uncontrolled OCD digging through and slamming dresser drawers and cabinet doors at least 5 times a night, EVERY NIGHT. My husband named my Lectrofan "the 747". Yes, it can be THAT loud! And now I sleep, so we all sleep, and now no one is going to die. Thank you for saving lives. Because you truly have.

Keeping me out of prison!

We have been suffering in our home with a terrible sound vibration for over a year and a half. These machines made it that we could sit in our living room and lay down, while covering up the sound. They help to dissipate the vibrations with the sound they put out. I am ordering 2 more.

I have had other sound machines and they developed a background sound that
interfered with the sound I wanted. This machine has no looping tape so I will not
get any interference. Love all the fan and white noise selections. White noise is good
for getting rid of ringing in your ears. This machine has excellent volume levels. I got
it to drown out traffic noise at night and it works great.

Great sound quality

This little machine puts out continuous noise with no hiccups (loop breaks) and at a volume range I was not expecting from such a small unit. Once you have the settings set up, noise volume level and specific noise you want for the white noise and fan sounds, as long as it stays plugged in, it will remember the choices made the next time you turn it on.

Great Noise Maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was disappointed in the size of this piece of equipment. the picture shown is disappointing. the picture denotes a larger unit than what you actually get. The sounds you hear I almost identical. Not what I expected at all, especially for the price I paid.
