[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Explorer Diving Boat from LEGO is the perfect pasttime in the play room.  This set keeps my kids occupied for hours.  They love to play with all the cool leggos.  It comes with diving people and a shark and a treasure chest.  I love it when I can add something interesting to their playtime and this is certainly it.

The crane even really works!! We have had so much fun with it. The parts are strong and durable and typical Lego wonderfulness. Colors are vibrant and all the pieces are just so real like. I recommend this set to kids and parents alike. The sea creatures are our favorite part of this set. We cannot wait to get more .

My Lego Explorer Diving Boat

I love the critters we get and how it continues the Explorers' sub-theme. This set reminds me a little bit of Subnautica which also made it very appealing and it's beautifully colorful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The explorer diving boat lego set is a lot of fun. My son not only enjoyed building the boat but the scenery that came with it. He loved the reef with fish and the sharks are probably the coolest best part of the set. He loves playing underwater diving games and this builds his imagination.

Diver lego set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a LEGO set that was unique and interesting for my cousin, who's really into swimming and the water. This was a huge hit and the variety and creativity he's showing is so gratifying to see. Would definitely buy again.

Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really enjoyed the Lego City explorer diving boat. This is perfect for my child who enjoys aquariums and the ocean. It builds a very detailed diving boat with several crew members. It has their diving gear and working hook to real in the treasure chest. I love the gold coins for the chest. The details that really put this set over the top are the sea animals such as sting ray, crab, hammerhead shark, fishes and turtles.  We enjoyed making the shark chase after the deep sea diversity. This is loads of fun !

Great ocean fun!

Easy to build and with plenty of opportunities for play, this set is ideal for the recommended age group of 5+. The minifigures are great, the animals are amazing, and the builds have several fun play features, with opportunities to invent many more.

The set is constructed in three build phases, each in their own numbered bag with their own un-numbered instruction booklet. The first bag contains the submersible, a diver, and the stingray; the second builds the boat, a researcher, and the hammerhead; and the third gives us the underwater scene, a second diver, and a small and a large turtle. At the end of each building phase, the builder is left with something that can be played with on its own. I see this as a brilliant bit of design - if a young builder gets tired partway through, they can take a break and play with what they've built so far. As such, the build experience is perfectly catered to the target demographic.

I feel the set provides decent value for money, containing three minifigures, four creatures (hammerhead, stingray, small and large turtles), two vehicles and some scenery for a relatively low price. Although the set has a poor price-per-part ratio, it's worth noting that three of the animals in the set use either new parts or new prints, and several of the other pieces are large. Overall, you get a lot of stuff for the price, and this set provides the best play value of any set in the Explorers wave of City sets.

Overall, if you want a great playset that's good for young builders, this is one of the best currently on the market!
