I absolutely loved this kit. I couldn't wait to start it, and when I did, I couldn't stop building it until it was complete. The build was very straightforward and the Builder App greatly helped. The white striped convertable looks the best to me.

Building the Z28

A great set for any car enthusiast being highly detailed from the engine bay to the interior with fuzzy dice. This is by far the most detailed creator expert car Lego has made to date. A little more expensive than previous models and for the money I'd like to have seen printed pieces used exclusively over stickers like in the Porsche 911 Turbo set. But overall i love this set highly recommend!

Highly detailed and accurate

Fantastic build. Took me a while to get round to doing it but we'll worth it. Top marks for using an axe (guess from medieval/castle set) to form the rear ‘bumper' bits. Love the customisation options and the comic book on the back seat. Two minor minor criticisms. 1 . A few flat plates would have been good to represent an interior ‘carpet' rather than great studs, especially if displaying as a convertible. 2. This is probably a bit ocd but the stripes on the boot lid aren't the same width as the bonnet (trunk and hood to our American friends) as shown in one of the pictures. Neither of these minor niggles detract from what a lovely build this is. Will look great displayed with all the others!

A great model of a real icon

I found this set was difficult to keep together. Som part were not tight and fell apart when building.  I like the newer sets that use the black,blue,red pegs and they have movable motors and etc.  I will enjoy the challenge of this set but not as authentic as other set I have built.

Review

This model is surprisingly well detailed for a Lego set. Working steering, a Lego engine, color customization, it's all very cool. 

My one major gripe is the designers use of colorful pieces for the underbelly and skeletal structure of the vehicle. Some of the colors (blue and yellow mainly) peek through gaps, especially in the wheel wells. 

Other than that, beautiful set.

Well-Detailed

Honestly a great set. I was a little hesitant at first but when I decided to finally buy it and build it, I absolutely loved it. Very good and slick design and detail compared to the other vehicle sets in the past. I really enjoyed the ability of having options of what color of stripes to choose for the car. I would love to see more classic models like the Charger, Chevelle, or a Challenger. But I honestly would pefer a Chevy Impala since it would be a very unique design. Would be an instant buy for me. But overall great set!

I've collected and built many of the large scale vehicles (DeLorean, Mini, Mustang and Aston Martin) over the past years and this is one of the best-executed ones. The look of the Camaro is very well done, details like the strike posts for the doors, the center console, engine bay curved walls (fenderwells) and wheel opening pieces were great. I appreciated the customization a lot as well, which differentiates it from the Mustang and allows for future rebuilds. Definitely recommended to classic muscle car and LEGO enthusiasts alike.

Overall its a well built solid car, however certain things such as the off-center steering wheel and or oversite in research really make it hard to recommend. The Z28 was a hardtop only option. Choosing the convertible option makes the Z28 badging  and 302 decals wrong, the center console and radio position are also wrong. The biggest issue is the lack of the gills/louvers that should be in front of the rear wheels; which is funny considering you made decals for them in 2016 with the Speed Champions Camaro Drag Set. Lastly the lack of printed pieces considering the price increase, really makes its feel cheap.  Considering you have the licensing for Chevrolet why only decals ( the mustang got printed horse logos ) all the exterior Camaro branding should have printed and the optional decals. Ex... Z28, or RS/SS and air cleaner decals like 350,396 etc. since that would have been more accurate for this set allowing adults ( who would know this information and should be the target audience for this)

Solid build, but questionable choices

Looks nice when completed, but some poor structural design choices robbed most of the joy of building it.  The biggest problem is that the the front end of the car is joined to the cabin by only a two-pronged element.  So it was constantly falling apart when your start building arouind it.

Frustrating build - go with the Mustang

I have purchased many Lego sets without any problems whatsoever,  however this was not the case with this one. The Stickers were a mess with many off them missing from the sticker sheet and ‘attached' to various bags. One Sticker was attached to the instructions which when removed damaged the instruction manual — already damaged itself in one corner. Very disappointing!
