Can be a great value with discounts, but feels steep at full cost.

This is a beautiful set, with a robust structure, and built to last for a long time. A set that the whole family can enjoy playing with! I still remember the giggles and laghters of my little girl when we finally finished building this set and started to play foosball for the very first time! 
This set fulfills two different purposes, and does both beautifully. Well done Donát and the designer team!

A set to play with forever!

LEGO

We had so much fun putting this set together, it took us a few days with our schedule but we enjoyed it. I love all the details and the storage under the seating is great for all the extra spectators that came with it. We have it sitting on our coffee table and everyone that comes over wants to play it. The instructions were very detailed and clear. Highly recommend this set for the older Lego fans!

So much fun

My 7 year old is a big fan of real Foosball, and loves building Legos, so she really wanted this set for Christmas. Despite some negative reviews, we paid full price for it and I have no regrets. She built it in one day - about 8 straight hours - completely by herself. It wasn't too hard for her since she's familiar with Legos. She has had fun playing the game with her 6 year old sibling and I have enjoyed playing with her too. It functions as I expected a Lego foosball table to function - it's obviously small but the teams move smoothly and it is definitely playable. We love the score pegs and for us a game played to a score of 5 takes about 5 minutes. We are very happy with this fun little table!

7 Year Old Loved it

This set was a fun build, that looks great, and comes with a great selection of minifig customizations. Sadly, that is the only positive parts to this set.

You drop the ball in, and then you can't do anything.  The ball gets stuck constantly, not just in corners, but also between the 2 rows per team of players.

For the amount this set costs, it is truly a let down, and I really wish the original idea posted was stuck too more closely.

Fun Build, Unplayable

This set had the potential to be great but was mostly a bit of a let down. I'm not an experienced lego builder (this is only my 3rd set in the last 30 years) and the build was simplistic even for me! 

The finished football table is just too small to be playable and the goal keeper needs to be on a separate rod to the defenders. Being able to customize your team with such a large number of heads/hair is great but the reality is you will never end up doing this because this "playable" set is totally unplayable and is really just a display piece. Lego have really missed the mark with this one - it could have been an incredibly good set but it is poor.

Disappointing

Easy build but way too small to play.  Football is large and it is very easy to block the ball.  I'll see if a hobby store has a marble that will be smaller and work better.  Hopefully the next version will have 11 players on the field and four sticks per team.

Not worth it

It's so disappointing to see this as a product and not fall in love with it. It truly had so much potential! The playability factor would have been huge but the goal keepers dont have their own rod, and are right next to other players!

When I initially heard that this Ideas set had been approved I was excited and thought It would definitely be part of my collection.
However, I'm really disappointed by how the Ideas set has been changed. In my opinion, this is how the set could be improved:
Less expensive
Bigger (11v11)
Personally I would have preferred monochrome figures so the set aligned more accurately with traditional table football games.

The orginal Fan Art looked very good and then LEGO turn it into this! I've never seen a Table Football game have the Defenders standing next to the Goalkeeper! 

For some reason this looks like a shoebox, minifigures are good but the price is just unreasonable. If you want it wait for a sale!

What have LEGO done?

This set was acquired during the holiday promotional period of 40% and still feels like a expensive piece for a futball fan, I would not recommend to any person unless you know what you getting your self into I recommend youtube videos.
