[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Lego The Sword Outpost for my 8 yr old son.He was so excited because his favorite thing from Minecraft. he owns everyone he can possibly find..We all know Legos makes great blocks. he's only eight so with a little help he loves building all the things like this. He was over the top with excitement when he got this. We are still working on this. This is a great way to spend quality time with your child' too.  Definitely recommend this for a little one or even an adult if you like Legos or Minecraft.

Can't possibly go wrong with 2 of his favorite things. He is 8 and determined to complete it on his own with following the instruction book and he has done well so far. Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a adult I can't say I've ever fully put together a lego set but now I can, my kids sat with my husband and I and we all helped with different parts, it took us about a hour total to fully assemble. I like that each different part is in different bags and the instructions give you clear directions on how to put each section together and how to bring it all together as a whole. Honestly when I 1st opened the box I was a little skeptical on how all of those Legos would make a whole one together but I was highly impressed by the outcome. I van see how people love these, since putting this one together we've already built others and we all hooked now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love Lego brands in this house! From the simplest builds to the thousands of pieces builds! This one was decently simple to put together, we had the neighbor kids help too. They all enjoyed it and playing with the mini figures afterwards having “battles” lol this is great!

Love Lego!

I liked this model because (unlike the pig house) it actually stars something any Minecraft player will be familiar with - the diamond sword! Other things like the furnace helped add flavour to the experience, but it was really all about the sword. Thankfully the designers clearly knew this, as the bags of Lego in this build get more exciting the further you get into this build and they saved the sword for the final bit. The creeper explosion bit was also a nice touch, because who hasn't had a creeper blow-up part of a build they love! The one thing I'd change, apart from including a whole sword, is the lack of coloured plates on the back of the sword; if the back of the sword had coloured plates then the model could be displayed either way around rather than having a fixed viewing angle. As an adult fan of both Minecraft and Lego, I think this is the most authentic Lego Minecraft set I've seen. Maybe in future they'll design a Nether Fortress model with Blaze minifigs?

I bought this to build and put on display in my boyfriends gaming room but i couldn't get the sword to actually fit/stay in place theres no way to click it in place and it kept falling apart with each attempt to make it stay in place. The characters were cute though.
