This was my first ever technic build. I love the design, the features, moving pistons within the engine block and that it was a real pleasure from start to finish. I'd not been swayed towards technic until this was released as it was great to compliment the Tumbler. I have now picked up Ecto-1 and Dom's Charger so a movie vehicle theme may have started.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been building Legos for almost 30 years. This set was one of the most complex, and well detailed, models I've built. The lighted pieces add a great touch. As usual with the Technic Series the gearing and engineering that went into the design and building are phenomenal and very accurate. The rear end has a working differential, the wheels coordinate with the moving pistons, and the steer knob on top doubles to light up the engine. Reaching inside the gearshift lights up the front. It's added touch's like these that really make these sets. Lego has done a great job keeping up with technology and engineering. I look forward to building not only for myself but passing on to my kids.

Excellent build!

I am blown away by this incredible Batmobile set. At first  I was hesitant to purchase it since its all in plain black colors but after building it and looking at the final product I was very happy. Totally worth the money. I would recommend this toy to anyone. The light gimmicks are amazing. Really fun set to build. Took me around 5 hours in total but well worth it.

Edgy Muscle Batmobile

Yes its missing some functions like suspension but overall as a technic set it fits the bill. It looks fairly close to the real thing which itself is a made up vehicle so its dimensions are a challenge to replicate.
Instructions could be clearer on some steps but with a tiny bit of back tracking from the next step easily fixed.
Weird to have so many stages but i actually preferred in the end. Light blocks are a nice touch especially with the clear engine pieces, not sure why the flames are blue though as we've not seen the film yet.

Built properly the set is very sturdy and strong so not too sure what some people are complaining about

Challenging build and great end result

This set won me over, my first impressions of The Batman's Batmobile in the photos that'd been released I was left wanting.  Then when I saw Lego bring this out as a Technic set I was unsure.  But I'm a Bat-fan and try to get all the Bat vehicles I can, so bought the set.  The build I did over several days as I like to take my time and Technic sets aren't my normal wheelhouse.  I enjoyed the 360 build, it tested me here and there but the finished result is fantastic, so much character and menacing power to its look, it has made me want to see the film even more.  Heartily recommend to anyone who likes a bit of a challenge, All things Batman, and muscle cars.

Bamm!

The Batmobile was my first Technic build after numerous more traditional Lego sets. It was a moderate challenge in that the directions were far more detailed than normal Lego sets. I made a couple of mistakes that cost me some time to correct. At times the instruction book was unclear - especially when displaying steps on the other side of the Batmobile.   

The completed model is a joy to behold. The light-bricks invoke an appropriately dark Batman vibe. The overall vehicle has a presence that is hard to describe --- I am glad to have purchased this and am tempted to pick up the new BMW motorcycle.

First Technic Build - Impressed

Bought this because of the nostalgia of Batman and was a fun set to build. And a good keepsake. Loved the menacing look of the bat mobile. The light bricks are a lovely touch. Good value for money.

Awesome and fun to buikd set

This is the first ever Technic Batman and is an interesting build to it. Far from complex, but mostly the play functions are excellent and add some fun and interactivity with the inclusion of lights. However, there seems to be a rushed element in design as with the front light activation is awkward and the headlights illumination would have been welcome. 

The front end illumination is not that good compared to the rear with the use of transparent engine blocks and does look great.

The differential is a solid build piece, but there is no suspension. A minor disappointment is the use of stickers for the panel. I modified the instrument panel an added printed bricks. (see photo). The front grill has a good menacing look to it but the front wheel fenders has unsightly gaps.

Even though based on the new movie, it doesn't scream 'Batman' yet, more like the Fast and Furious type with lights and flames.

I wish there was more thought put in to it but overall, still not a bad set for the price point.

I'll update this review if I can, once I receive the missing pieces to complete the build. As of now, I am stuck half way through and I am quite disappointed with the vehicle so far. Sure, missing pieces happen from time to time but these instructions are some of the worst I have encountered. I've built the Bugatti and the Lambo, along with the Ferrari and Porsche race cars so it's not like I am clueless. It feels like there are components intentionally left loose for a page or two before they are properly affixed and the build is definitely flimsy at the mid point (could stiffen up as I work to completion). Not impressed.

Unfinished build

I do love the way this looks and enjoyed building it, the cool mechanics of the engine are awesome but it's defiantly a strange car, I just don't think it looks or great as a technic build and would have probably looked better as a creator car like other Batman vehicles. It is presentable but uncomfortable up close. Overall technic builds are fun to build but this is only for bat man fans.

Fun build but eyesore

Over all this build is pretty fun. Was just unfortunate as I was approaching the end that pieces not being packed. Unfortunately cannot finish it properly due to the missing parts. Had to wait on this product due to it getting shipped to the wrong address and having to have a new one sent.
