(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Excellent webcam with amazing video quality. I have a C920S from Logitech that I bought for 2x the price and I can say the 500 FHD is a much better value for money with near identical video. Great buy for the price and no compromise in quality.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It's surprising how few webcams are compatible with Windows Hello. Even less are made by great companies at a decent price. This webcam checks all the boxes! My only complaint is the length of the included cable, which could stand to be longer. A minor complaint given the function and quality.

Fantastic Windows Hello Compatible Webcam

works with Windows Hello; no drivers needed with version 1909; privacy shutter ( remember to open shutter before first use, I messed with the drivers before realizing the shutter was closed ), detachable cable, haven't actually try the webcam, can't comment on the quality of it.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Overall a pretty solid 1080p webcam. I was able to purchase this for around 60 CAD which with windows hello seemed like a great buy. The speed of signing into my pc is way quicker thanks to this great feature. The downside the camera quality was pretty grainy even under good lighting. I had used 3rd party software in order to make the quality look slightly better. Additionally this had a privacy shutter which is always nice to have along with a 360 swivel and a detachable USB-c to USB-a cord. Would love to see the camera quality become better either with a hardware update or software from Lenovo that will help improve the quality

Good but could be better

An OK camera I bought to upgrade from the embarrassingly poor camera on the Lenovo Thinkpad which is not good enough for any work call where you want to look professional at all. This camera was better for sure, but still not nearly as good as the internal camera that came with my old Dell so I'm returning it and will look for a better one. Return seemed easy and I liked how it plugged in easily, clipped on and worked so I'll give the overall experience 3 stars.

Ok laptop camera

Window hello facial unlock feature on this camera is good. But I had a few times failed to use this maybe due to the camera USB state? I got the issue when waking up the computer from sleep.

Expected better performance

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I had a bit of trouble getting this camera to enable Windows Hello with Windows 10. The problem may have been with Windows 10 rather than the camera. There was not much guidance provided by Lenovo.

I have a new Dell Inspiron 14 with a narrow screen edge. The camera just barely latches on to the screen and is not very secure. 

I thought the connection to the notebook was via USB type C. But the cable provided was the older USB connector. I tried a USB C to USB C cable, but that did not work at all.

I think a smaller camera than this would be good!

The quality of the camera image is good. Field of view is just about right. 

All in all, despite some of my comments, I am happy with this camera. It does what I want.

My Lenovo 500 FHD experience on a Dell Inspiron 14

I bought this webcam to hopefully replace an old, cheaper, lower resolution Microsoft HD-3000 webcam with the hope that it would bring better video quality as well as Windows Hello facial recognition login (I hate passwords).

There were quite a few surprises when I finally got it and set it up.

First, (and I should have checked this before buying) there is no microphone!!! I mean, who would ever release a webcam without a microphone!?!  Secondly, the picture quality is truly terrible, the worst I've ever experienced. I didn't know webcams could be this bad!

Luckily, I still had the Microsoft webcam so I only use this now for Windows Hello and here it performs as well as I expected so I've given it 2 stars in spite of all of the major flaws.

So, if you're looking for a webcam please don't buy this as it's terrible and not fit for purpose, however, if you are just looking to add Windows Hello facial recognition login to an existing setup then take a look as it does this very well.
