This is the fourth Leslie Patricelli book we have purchased. My son reads this book over and over and over and... well you get the picture. Great book for a great value. We love her books!!

Addition to The Collection

this books is awesome! when i picked it up from site to store i was reading it to everyone...by the way i work at that store...The bookmis real simple and easy to read. It was such a really good price i couldn't resist ordering it. If i didn't own a cat and a dog i think i would probably skip the part on how they go potty but since i own both i can personalize it with our dog and cat and then use my daughter's name on how she would go potty. Would strongly recommend this book.

I LUV THIS BOOK!!!

I'm starting to introduce my one year old son to the potty and this books help to show him that another baby can do it. Its really cute!

My daughter loves this book! I have read it at least 30 times a day many days in a row. I think it is a cute book, but needs a little more. It shows how a cat and dog go, but just says "oh" I feel that it should explain what they do and why. There are times where the child is just sitting with no words...so again I add my own story/explain what is going on.

Cute book, but needs a little more

My daughter loves this book and now knows all about using the potty. We introduced this book to her so she could learn about potty training before we actually started training her. The simple illustrations and words are perfect for her age (1.5 years).

My daughter LOVES this book!

Our 27 month old boy likes this book but sadly it is NOT helping to get us over the hump. :(
He is pretty set on not going right now. I know we have time to work on it but I thought maybe this book would help his interest in going to the potty. He will "read" the book but not use the potty. lol May try a video in a few weeks. I myself do not think that this book is very engaging even for a two year old....but then I am not two so.....

Did not help get our boy past his fear

I have twin 15 month old boys. One of them is going on his potty already (when we get ready to take a bath he knows to sit on the potty). He doesn't go all the time, just at bath time. My other son could care less.

The book has a lot of images and suggests that kids sit on the potty a really long time before they go potty. I do not know if that is the case. My son is already naked (for bath) and sits on his own immediately and goes. I think he is just excited to take the potty and flush it down the toilet. He goes several times ( a little bit each time) just so he can flush it.

The book has a boy sit and sit and sit (with no words just yawning). It also shows what a cat does and what a dog does, but we do not have dogs and cats at home.

I don't know. I would recommend something else.
