When we walk into the bedroom, the air smells fresh.  We opted not to add the fragrance.  For a small machine, it does the job.  We run it 24/7 on the second speed.  You can hear it when you're by it but it's a low sound.  It's not disruptive in any way.  The third speed is a little louder which is why we're staying with the second.  The only reason why I didn't rate it with 5 stars is because you have to go through all the speeds to shut it off.  The should be an on and off control separate from the speed control.

Got it for travel. Small enough to fit in my carry-on but still powerful enough to make a difference in a small hotel room. I was glad to have it when people were coughing in the hallway right outside the door of my Airbnb.

Peace of mind when traveling

I don't usually write reviews, but this little Levoit Core Mini Air Purifier deserves a writeup! 1. It is QUIET - on Level 1 I sometimes have to check the airflow bc I can't hear anything. 2. It is EFFECTIVE - it cleans the room as well as my old big/beloved/discontinued Honeywell 17000 did. 3. It's ATTRACTIVE! Two items of note: 1. Don't let "mini" fool you - this device works well (read its room size specs), 2. Since it pulls air 360o, make sure you have minimum 12-15" around it. I have been using HEPA air purifiers for many years, and this Core Mini is by far my favourite!!!

Quiet, Effective and Attractive!

My boyfriend has bad allergies and he feels a noticeable difference. The sound on high is pretty soothing other settings are very quiet.

Does it's job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are several pros/great features when it comes to the Levoit Core Mini Air Purifier.  First is that it's very compact compared to older purifiers(11" tall x 6" diameter).  Saves on space and isn't an eye-sore.  Second, It's small, but mighty.  It's able to filter the air approximately twice per hour in a 178 square ft(15' X 12') room.  Perfect for most bedrooms, a bathroom, home-office, library, etc.  Third is the ease of operation and its quiet noise level.  1 power button brings you through all 4 settings.  Press it once for On/Low fan; twice for Medium fan; three times for High fan; and a fourth turns it Off.  That's all there is to it!  The noise level of the low fan is comparable to a "peaceful night", and the high fan is quieter than a "library".  If you need white noise to help you sleep, use this in another room.  If total quiet is desire while sleeping, this is your machine!  Lastly, the HEPA filtration system traps 97% of airborne particles in 3-stages.  Hair, lint, and fur in the Pre-Filter stage.  Pollen, pet dander, and dust in the HEPA Filter stage.  And it neutralizes household odors, smoke and fumes in the third, Activated Carbon Filter stage.  You can carefully vacuum the inside of the purifier the outer pre-filter to clean it, however; the HEPA and Carbon filters should be replaced every 4-6 months depending on use. 
One negative for me is the Aroma feature.  It says to add 5-7 drops of essential oil to the aroma pad to add an aroma to your room.  The box the pad sits in looks like a mini shoe box without a lid.  The bottom and sides are solid(no ventilation holes).  Air is drawn into the lower filter area, it's filtered, and then blown up AROUND the Aroma Box(not THROUGH), and is directed out the top.  I could barely smell the oil, so I added several more drops but had the same outcome.  It seems to me that the box should have some holes in it so air will filter through the Aroma Pad taking the scent with it.  Find another way to add aroma to your room.  I'm not a rocket scientist, but those my thoughts on this feature.      
All in all, this is a great little air purifier!  I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a small, quiet, powerful purifier!

Small But Mighty!!

Bought this product because the air quality in my apartment is pretty bad (it was either this or get rid of the whole apartment). I've had other air purifiers in the past and they just didn't do the job. The LEVOIT on the other hand, has been great. It is so quiet that I sometimes check to see if it's on and it is just VERY quiet. After the easy assembly I plugged it in and within a few hours I could tell such a difference in air quality in my bedroom. The woman that lives downstairs from me smokes and can usually smell it and it makes me sick but since getting this product I cannot smell the smoke. It is a god sent. Will be buying two more for other rooms in the apartment. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product.

Great product at an even better price!

Will definitely buy again, we got our first one a few months ago and loved it and got this mini one for our son's room.

Air in our room feels so much better - no little dust particles seen in the sun - and it's really quiet when it's on the first setting!

Definitely recommend

Great for kitchen countertop to remove oil and cooking smells.  Giving it 4 stars since its size makes it take awhile to do its job, but really perfect for what it is.  Would buy again.

Kitchen Countertop Use

Not really powerful, but seems to help in my bathroom, where a lot of dirty air comes from outside through the fan vent. Very quiet, too.
