[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is for the Lexar LNM620X001T-RNNNU 1TB Nm620 M.2 NVMe SSD.

This Lexar M.2 solid state drive is a great way to expand memory in your computer system. A 1TB stick is an excellent and easy upgrade for your laptop (if it accepts that form factor) or in your desktop tower - which is what I used it for. 

If you're not familiar with an M.2 drive, it's a form of computer storage that's about the size of a stick of gum. If you've ever handled a stick of typical RAM for your computer, it's comparable in shape and size to that. 

I was able to add this 1TB SSD to my desktop system as a additional drive. Installation was a breeze if your system has a port for the stick. An added bonus with this Lexar unit is that a small installation screw was included in the package. It's such a small addition that makes a huge difference - as not having one will bring your installation to a halt because you need a screw to secure the drive chip to your motherboard. Not all drives include the screw so I'm thankful Lexar did.

I inserted the drive into it's slot, secured it with the included screw, and booted the computer back up. The drive was not usable until I initiated it, and was guided through this simple process by the operating system. When it was done I had an additional 1TB drive for storage (953 GB usable) in my Windows 10 machine and was ready to transfer and save files to it.

If you don't have a slot in your system for an M.2 drive like this you can still use it by getting an M.2 NVMe external enclosure. That will let you place the drive inside it and then connect it to your system with a USB cable. That was my backup plan if I couldn't get the drive installed internally on my computer. Just a tip that in my research for an external enclosure that if you buy one, be sure to get one that uses the RTL9210 chipset for drive stability.

If you want to upgrade or add to the storage of your computer system, I would definitely consider this M.2 SSD.

Large size and fast

This 1 TB drive is exactly what I was looking for to sort through, organize, and back up my photos!  Perfect upgrade to my desktop!  I am amazed how small this drive is for how much it can store!

Small and Speedy SSD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent NVME M.2 SSD. I had never heard of Lexar before but then again, I had never heard of Hynix, the drive it's replacing either. I put this in my HP Pavillion gaming laptop. The Hynix was only 256gb, so I was in need of more, especially with games like MS Flight Simulator taking a lot of space. Install was fairly easy. Getting the back off the laptop was the hardest thing. Once open, it's basically take one out, put one it. No more difficult than adding ram. This doesn't come with any cloning software, so you need to find your own. I made a system image of my previous drive using Windows create/restore image feature. This worked but it only showed 256gb. In disk manager it showed up as 1tb. For some reason Windows wouldn't let me extend the drive to the full 1tb. I did try some 3rd party software, and this worked except it didn't show the 650mb recovery drive as a recovery drive. I decided to play it safe and just do a fresh install of Windows 11 since I had my files all backed up. I've done it many times before so no big deal.

This drive is super-fast. It's 50 percent faster than the Hynix. My motherboard is gen3 so you can see my Crystal diskmark scores. Should be twice as fast on a gen4. This is TLC and not dram-less. To tell you the truth I don't think I could tell the difference. 

All in all. Completely satisfied.

Excellent NVME SSD

Good quality for price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an incredible upgrade to the 512GB drive that came in my mini-pc.  As you can see in the pictures I have a mini-pc and it came with a 512GB SSD drive and I ordered this because of the reviews elsewhere and because I wanted a bigger, faster drive.  This drive is incredibly fast and what a difference it has made in my mini-pc.

I'm going to do a CrystalDiskMark test and post it but I can tell right away how much faster this disk read / write speeds are.

I would absolutely recommend this drive to anyone who needs more room.  Lexar has been a good name for a while and this drive definitely doesn't disappoint.

I can tell the running speed is significantly improved compared to with conventional disk HD. Only minor problem I found it the firmware update seems not available in the US that I have to get it from foreign web site.
