I've always had Lifeproof cases but have been disappointed with the sound quality- listening to music or talking on the phone. I got a 7Plus and of course replaced my case to fit it, and I can really tell a major difference! The sound is so much clearer!

I recently purchased the Lifeproof Fre case for my IPhone 8 plus about a month ago and I absolutely love it. I have bought these cases in the past and they are the only case that I use. They are amazing. I will definitely continue to purchase these in the future.

Amazing Product

I had my phone in a lifeproof case for years. The one I just replaced was so old and used it was just worn out and rubber peaking off. I am not easy on equipment and if it had not been for my lifeproof I would be paying for my third or fourth phone by now!! It is so worth it! It is just the BEST!!!!!!

Life proof phone case

Second case I've owned. Purchased for use with my new iPhone 8 Plus. Have not used this one yet under water, but my first case used with iPhone 6s Plus withstood under water conditions perfectly as well as drops!. So far very satisfied with my new LifeProof FRE case. Reception is great!. Fits perfectly!. Feel confident my new case will outlive my new iPhone 8 plus, just like my old FRE case outlived my old iPhone 6s plus!. LifeProof perfectly fitting name!. Love it!.

Love it!!

I bought this about 2 weeks ago, I give it 4 stars only because since I Put the case on it is hard for people to hear me while I am on the phone with them. Once I take the case of they could hear me so I know it is the case. Other than that I like how it is really reliable, I have had 4 iPhones and have boughten one for each and they all did not break when they fall as I am clumsy and drop them constantly.

The case is lightweight, durable, and dependable—which is what I love about Lifeproof Fre cases. Unfortunately, I wish I had bought a darker color. It's only been a month and the rubber portion of the case is discolored and can't be cleaned.  If I could, I'd return it.  I will definitely buy a Lifeproof case again, but only in a darker color.

Buy a Darker Color Case

I ordered the case online and it was delivered on time. To my excitement, I immediately opened the  box. I read few instructions as to how to put the phone in but it would be better if there will be illustrations on the proper way of doing it. I used a coin at the bottom right corner to remove the case and noticed that the back case is a little soft that a part of it was scratched by the coin. The cover for the charger port is not that tight anymore as I open and close it most of the time for charging and for headset plug in. The rubber type material of the sides accumulates dirt easily and needs to be cleaned as frequent as possible as it changes  the color if not taking cared of. I haven't tried if it's really shock proof and water proof but I believe it is dust proof as long as it will be kept tightly closed.

Protect the unprotected

My last iphone's screen was pristine after 3 years without a screen protector. The screen protector on this FRE scratched badly after only a couple of weeks. Otherwise I'm happy to have waterproof security for my new 8+.  It seems to be well designed and built.

Well built except for screen protector

This is now my 6th Lifeproof FRE case to own. So far, it has not been the best case. I went through 2 Lifeproof FRE cases for my iPhone 4 and 3 cases for my iPhone 6 (All super amazing cases! I really put them through the ringer and pushed the limits of their durability. I was extremely satisfied with my previous cases and would rate them 12/10). As an avid believer/supporter of Lifeproof I had to get a new Lifeproof FRE case for my iPhone 8 Plus when I upgraded my phone 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I have not been overly ecstatic about the iPhone 8 Plus Fre case. In the past, I've had nothing but good reviews for the FRE but my iPhone 8 Plus Fre has good/great qualities and a few not so great qualities.



First the good:

-Going from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 8 Plus I was a bit worried with the bulkiness of the 8 Plus FRE. Lifeproof did a fantastic job with keeping the bulkiness down. Like any FRE I've owned in the past, this case is incredibly durable and has already saved my phone multiple times from falls and drops on concrete, asphalt, and tile. There are absolutely no problems with the phone's functionality after drops. This is an extremely tough case, the shell and the screen protector both. 

-The Touch ID function works very well on this case and reads my fingerprint 8-9/10 times. 



Not so great:

-The first issue I have with the case are the buttons. Locking the phone as well as toggling the volume buttons can be challenging as the buttons are incredibly difficult to depress. Strong fingers recommended. I've come across the issue of trying to lock the phone while boarding and wearing gloves. Since gloves reduce contact surface, i did not create a significant amount of pressure to depress the button. 

-The second problem I have with my case could just be an abnormal/uncommon occurrence, but I figured I would share because of the potential/possibility of it happening to other people.

As I was unboxing the case and took it apart, I immediately noticed a slight bow in the case in both parts. The back piece had a more significant bow/bend where the rubber seal was forced out of the "seal-canal". The top piece of the case's bow is just enough to be noticeable when the case is put together with the phone inside, as the screen protector is not 100% flush on the screen causing a bubbling prism effect  on the screen. This is hardly noticeable, but just enough to slightly bother you if you like the sleek look of an invisible screen protector. 

  

Other than these few problems I have, this case is still a great all-around case, especially for the extremely active and adventurous people. 



I highly recommend the Lifeproof FRE if you need an ultimate, durable case because you like taking your phone on various adventurers such as mountain biking, rock climbing, or even snorkeling in the ocean. This really is the most durable/functional phone case on the market.



However, if all you are worried about is a few phone drops here and there, I would suggest a different case. Perhaps one where the buttons are easier to press and the built in screen protector does not get in your way.

Great Case w/ Minor Flaws

I bought the case for my new (expensive) 8 plus as a means of protecting it thoroughly. The case does not seal completely and as such, the entire system is compromised. Further, the Phone shifts back and forth inside of the case, ever so slightly, as a result of the poor seal. This affects the keyboard use, the home button, etc.
