The combo of larger iPhone XR controls, faceID and the new fre case makes voice texting with Siri on the bike a breeze. They also enlarged the hole for the lightning port so more adapters will fit! Even with the case, faceID can read  right through my sunglasses and Giro Air Attack Shield helmet. The fre Protects the phone from drops even though the XR is much heavier.

Six years ago I bought a Life Proof case for my I4.  It was a great investment as I voided the insurance being offered by my carrier.  To give you an idea of how impressed I was, here is one of my experiences.

About 2 years ago, I lost my phone while playing golf.  I discovered it was missing after the round and notified the course of my loss.  I gave them a number of a friend so they could get in contact with me.  Unfortunately a week passed and I found out how difficult it was to live without a cell phone.  I was all set to purchase a new phone when I was contacted by my friend.  He told me the phone was found by the greens keeper who heard a clunk while mowing around the edge of the green.  He saw something fly out the side of the mower about 30 feet.  He stopped the mower to check it out and saw it was a cell phone.  He threw it in the lost and found and the course manager identified it as my phone.  I was contacted and got the phone back.  It was fully functional!  A huge shout out to Life Proof!  Simply awesome!

Lifeproof Case for Apple I4

I bought this case for my 9 yr old granson's iPhone xr. I know his phone is protected with this case. He's very clumsy so he needs this fre case on his phone. He dropped the phone and the case got barely visible scratches. He dropped the phone in a puddle and no water got inside of the phone. I am so glad he has the fre case for his iphone. This is the only phone case that my family buys. I recommend this product.

Best cell phone case!!

bought on line arrived on time followed directions to test it for water proofness and it passed no leaks . Put it on the phone and the phone work well even thru the protective cover that is water proof.. If It holds up it will be worth the price we will see.....

Last year I dropped my phone off a pier into the Rappahannock River And after wading around at night we found it. Had it landed we could have seen it light up when i called the number. Wiped it off with a towel and it was completely dry and worked fine. I got a new iphone so of course i got a new case.

Would not go near the water without it.

Love the case, only thing I'm not happy with is the charging port door comes open on its own have found it open 5 times going to answer the phone also door swings so loosely, my wife's is the same way both purchased for our new XR, I hope they update the door as I don't need it coming open so easy I work in a dirty dusty environment most of the time

Great except charging port door

I exchanged my Fre for the Next case for my new iPhone Xr.  While I prefer the Fre, people could not hear me on my phone.  So I switched to the next.  This is a suitable case that looks good on the phone.  I also added the Alpha Glass for a pretty decent package overall.

Good case overall

Im outdoors a fair bit, around kids and work with animals. My phone needs to handle being dropped and bumped, as well as being cleaned. This new case has a clear crack in the seem and it is quickly dirtied. Undoing the case again and again defeats the purpose and opens my phone up to damage as I'm in a high humidity environment and a lot of fur during my work day. It's also showing wear faster than any case before it. I still trust it to protect my phone better than other cases but there's improvements needed.

Difficult to clean

I bought it in Thanksgiving and have been using it for 2 month. The worst part is that when I talk to my friends through the phone, everyone says why your voice is so light I almost cannot hear you. So I am very disappointed. The case is probably the most expensive on the market and I wouldn't recommend it.

No one can hear you

I purchased this approximately 1 month ago. I typically use Otterbox cases. They have proven to be very protective. This time I decided to try LifeProof because they seem slimmer, not so bulky. Immediately after I put the case on it seemed well protected and slimmer. However, it seemed there was less of a grip and almost slippery and I happen to be a little clumsy, but the other thing I noticed was when I spoke to others with the case on, they all said I sounded muffled and I could not hear them as well either. For these reasons, Lifeproof did not meet my expectation and I therefore, returned this case for a refund.

Was disappointed with my case

I bought this case on cyber Monday 2018.  The rubber gasket was hard to kept in place. Sometimes I am unable to press the keys on the phone pad an have to take the case apart in a hurry to use the phone. The exterior is degrading and getting stainrowith ordinary use. This case is overpriced and a major disappointment.  I do not recommend this phone.
