LifeProof Suction Mount - car holder for cellular phone

I have used my Lifeproof case and belt clip for years so with hands free cell laws getting serious i got the windshield mount. I thought it would be like the many other gadgets I had seen my friends use but the heavy duty construction, locking suction and sturdy structure that doesn't even shake over bumps or at high speeds blew me away. Being able to clip it on my belt then to the truck with a flick and a twist is awesome. Great products!

Industrial quality and intergrated too!

otterbox.com

I use the mount in my work truck everyday in the patch. Bouncing up and down terrible lease access roads and it's never dropped my phone. So happy I bought it

Best products for the oil patch

I have had one for over a year and love it. I just bought one for my dad and my daughter. I am sure they will love it too they were always asking where to buy it and got them each one for Christmas.

Awesome

Stays in place and makes it easy to see the phone screen hands free. Seems solid and secure.

I've never had this type of mount before so I don't know how to judge it against other products. I find this amount a little awkward at this point it's kind of hard to reach around to the mechanism that releases and secures the phone in place. I've only used it once so far so I may get used to it.

I don't like that my phone cannot wirelessly charge with the addition of the clip mount on the back of the phone case. I didn't really think about this until I actually tried to recharge it.

First in car mount

Well I like it and the only problem is when you talk sometimes people can't hear you cause it's muffled, also need a holster for it I have the iPhone 7plus and that need a holster accessories, other than that I'm impressed with this nuud case for iPhone 7 plus, also it's not bulky

I like it

I put it in my work van so it already been through some rough patches. Still holding up, I especially love that when going through bumps it still managed to stay perfectly still. Quick mount takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it, it's actually very convenient.

Love it...

In the work van

It's great case. The one issue is the battery door. The clip that holds it shut will eventually break making the door useless. I have had 3 on the same phone do the same thing. They last 6 to 8 months. Otherwise it is the best case on the planet.

Good Case

One problem I have discovered is that the suction cup works well on fibreglass but won't work (or at least very poorly) on carbon fibre. This is a problem if you want to mount it in a carbon fibre boat.

Rowing

I had a Lifeproof case for my 4s and the GPS mount. It was a straight forward suction mount with a simple cradle the phone sat in. Worked great zero complaints.

I guess I didn't pay enough attention in buying this one. It requires you to glue a little mount to the back of the phone. Which is both an eyesore, but also prevents the phone from lying flat on its back. I actually thought the mount attached to the phone via suction and only required a flat suction surface.

So far it has worked fine in the car. But the attachment when connection feels perhaps a little flimsy and I question the longevity. I'd honestly recommend shopping around before buying this. Unless you don't mind having a random mount glued to your case.

Disappointed with the new design

I purchased this same mount from Lifeproof about three years ago. Absolutely perfect device and perfect system for mounting my phone in my vehicle. I have recently purchased a new work van, and decided to order another mount for that vehicle as well as a mount for my wife's car. Sadly, Lifeproof has now removed the adhesive backing plate that sticks to your dashboard and allows the suction cup feature to work. The only option now is to mount to a window only, or do as I did and have to silicone the stupid thing onto the dashboard. For the high price I paid for this, I am unimpressed that Lifeproof has cheaped out and removed this essential piece from the packaging. Ughhhh.

Unimpressed. Used to have a mounting disk.
