Movie deals with the reality of adoption and as a macho man, I admit it made me shed a few tears. Kirk Cameron has made a great movie about raising children if you have childen and want to know how to actuality do it properly, get this movie. David Colton is the adopted teenager and he rocks.

Great for teens and adults

Since adoption is a topic dear to our hearts, my family especially enjoyed this movie. We like movies made by the Kendrick brothers because they have powerful stories and do not use foul language or inappropriate content. The story for this film is believable and the actors do a great job. 
The story is about an adopted boy meeting his biological parents after he turns 18 and all the multiple emotions that go along with that by all the parties involved. The movie is not over dramatic, but realistic.  At first, I thought the ending needed something more. But, after pondering on it, I decided it really is perfect the way it ends. Everyone has a life story that includes high and low points. It's up to us to decide how we can share those stories to encourage others in their life journeys.

Lifemark DVD

Fantastic Movie, cried multiple times.  Highly recommend along with all the Kendrick Movies.

AWESOME!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw this movie in the theater when it first came out. I loved it!I always cry at any of the  Kendrick movies. They are all very well made and and all have wonderful messages. I found a DVD set that had all the Kendrick movies, except two. One was The Lifemark and the other was The Forge.  And I didn't own any of them yet. So what I did was, googled the Kendrick Brothers' movie names. Come to find out if the DVD set did not include Lifemark or their latest, The Forge. So to have the entire set, I purchased both movies, Lifemark and The Forge from Walmart to complete my set. Well, today, I just opened the outside packaging of Lifemark and I noticed that the back of the case has about a 3" cut in the back of the case. I have not taken the plastic wrap off of the DVD. Also, I have no idea if the DVD inside has been damaged at all either. The way I am thinking, if l go ahead, take the plastic wrap off, and I  play it and the DVD is fine, I'd go ahead and keep it, but if the DVD is scratched or if it skips at all, I  would want an exchange, not a refund. I love this set of movies and I  don't want the whole set minus one movie. I haven't received my other DVD yet.
