Durability

Made with solid materials for a sturdy feel.

I purchased this goal for my 7-year-old, who wanted a "real soccer goal" for his birthday. Most of the brand-name goals purchased through soccer shops for local leagues are very high dollar, and I wanted something a little less pricey but still sturdy. This goal is reasonably easy to set up, quite heavy (which is good for stability), and seems very well made. It's much nicer than I would have expected for the price, and my son even told me it was the best birthday present ever. Hopefully it will last quite a while, but if not, the price was still fairly reasonable.

Great goal - better than expected for the price

walmart.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the goals are great. to be honest i already had 2 of these goals. however, after about 3 years they were starting to break down. so it was time to buy some new ones.

So after writing the review above, I was PROMPTLY contacted by a customer service representative who had already forwarded my comments to the engineers. He said they were in agreement and had the ball rolling on making some changes. In addition, he informed me that the bags for the 8x6 goals were available to purchase through customer service. Great news for everyone looking for a carrying solution! THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Update to my review above - GOOD NEWS!

lifetime.com

I bought this soccer goal for my grandson's birthday and he loves it and uses it everyday to play with his friends. my grandson son is 10 years old. I was impressed with the product made real strong and easy to install or even to store it.

Great product

I searched for a soccer goal post for my son so he can practice in the yard and found this nice set at Sams for a great price. It is sturdy, made of steel, it is easy to set up and easy to fold after his practice. It can be used at different goal sizes. This is not a full size goal as the item description states.

Awesome. Easy to set up.

Samsclub.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a set of these for my boys, 6 and 10 who are soccer enthusiasts and they've been having a great time with them, inviting friends over for games and the like. They set up quickly out of the box with not a lot of hassle. I love that I can fold them up for winter storage and they won't take a lot of room in the garage. I saw that as a more compelling feature than the portability, which we probably won't take advantage of, though it's nice to know we can take them somewhere, if need be. The dimensions are great for backyard games, though we have, so far left them at the largest size. If my 6 y/o brings some some soccer friends, we can make them smaller. Very strong construction, I expect we'll be using them for years to come.

Great Goals

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this goal in 2016 after seeing it used by the league the daughter was playing with. It's a solid goal. I've literally used it from U-4 to now U-9. The adjustable feature works great. The net holds up really well, but has torn after four years of use. I'd say I got my money's worth.

Great soccer goal.

The good: The adjust-ability is the best feature of this product. We play pickup and can size these goals to make games with 4v4 people, or games with 9v9. They are easy to setup and break down. They are compact when broken down and can fit in your trunk (even a compact car). The steel tubing is extremely solid and is a worthwhile trade off for the increase in weight over other pop-ups.

The bad: First of all these should come with simple canvas cases OR some sort of strap on handle at the least for transportation. They are heavy. When I purchased these a couple years ago I had seen comments from others and no one at Lifetime has taken notice or action unfortunately as the product still does not include this. It should be a no-brainer but alas... Next issue: there are a series of pins that fix the folding joints in place. These pins are attached to the goal via a small chain, and the chain is cheap. Broken chain = lost pins. I am now missing 3. Last issue: Cheap velcro straps This velcro should have a fabric backing. Instead the backing of the velcro is the typical thin plastic and the straps just break. Again we have a small issue that could be resolved for a VERY low cost, yet the improvement is not made by the company. These straps are what you have to rely on to hold it all together when transporting and they are just not appropriately built.,

The good and the bad for you

I purchased this so I would have we could practice soccer in the yard. It's quick to setup and is large enough to be challenging for the kids. I have left mine full assembled and we just pack it from the garage to the yard and back. But it would be easy enough to fold down.

Great goal for individual training

Bought this over a month ago very happy with it. The set up was easy, quality is great and a very good size.

Good quality and serves it purpose well.

JordanA

The net tore within a few months of getting the goal. When the net breaks it pretty much makes the goal useless. It is impossible to find a replacement net for the 5x7 size. I would not recommend getting this soccer goal for that reason.
