This kayak was perfect for me because it fits "INSIDE" my small SUV (Honda Crosstour) with the back seats down.  That was one of my key requirements for a sit-on-top kayak - that it fit inside my vehicle.  This 8-foot kayak handles well for me; I kayak on a very still, calm lake.  Also, I kayak for relaxation, so I am not racing anywhere.  When the wind picked up, it did become a bit more difficult to make progress, but I know that a smaller kayak has some limitations, and I was okay with that.  I am completely happy with this Kayak.  Note that it does not come with scupper plugs; you can buy them separately.  I also purchased an additional seat for some cushion.

it's the perfect size and weight. I can pick it up and put it on top of my rack on my car. I love the color. it's perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this for our son for Christmas.   Took him out on the lake and he absolutely loved it.  When we got home I noticed that there was water in the shaft of the paddle.  It seems that the water was coming in from around the blade.  Contacted Lifetime via email and explained to them what was going on.  Received a very quick response from their customer service.  Once they had all the information they needed they sent out a new paddle immediately.   It's great to know that there are still some companies out there with Great Customer Service.   My son is 12 and says that it's easy to paddle and seems very stable.  We had some inflatable kayaks and he hated them.  I'd say that they are definitely worth the money.

For its cost it's a great kayak and it's very stable. We usually float every year on tubes and now after getting a yak, I'll never float on just a tube again.

OMG I LOVE MY YAK!

This took awhile to ship. When it came, it came with damage. I was super disappointed. It was only cosmetic so I decided to keep it so I didn't have to send it back and go through that headache. I was taking the risk of getting another more damaged. All in all, it floats, looks good and I love it! Customer service at lifetime was awesome! It comes with a 5 year warranty so that really puts my mind at ease. Make the purchase, you won't regret it!

I like this kayak. My first one. Got me on the water to paddle and determined that I like kayaking. It fits inside my car and I can carry it a short distance to the water. Im a 72 year old woman. The paddle was junk it was bent. I bought a decent one elsewhere.

A great first kayak. Fits in car.

I like that it arrived quickly, but I did not like that it was delivered with a deep scratch, that at this moment I don't know if the water enters through there. I did not return it because I had an RV travel the following date it was delivered. But I passed a hot screwdriver in top of it but I still don't know if that was goo enough because I never used because in my trip. The water was dirty. I hope it works.

Extremely disappointing...the packaging was ripped and the shipper covered it in a soot like powder. It transferred to my clothes and skin each time I tried touching it. 
I tried scrubbing but  the black did not come off and was ground into the plastic! What if I wanted to gift it? It looks used! The pics I included are only showing it AFTER being scrubbed!

DO NOT HAVE THIS SHIPPED! GO BUY IN STORE!

It was a great kayak until the snap that hold the seat back came out DURING the first trip.  I had no seat back and had to finish kayaking without anything to support myself. I have kayaked many times in the past and there was no undue strain or tension on the seat back. I would expect at some point there MIGHT be undue strain on the seat back and then do both pins fly out? I suppose you get what you pay for. I could probably fix it but I would expect it or the other side would pop loose again at another time.

Invest in higher quality

The bottom tore somehow the second time I used it. Barely made it back before it filled with water. This is really ridiculous because I did nothing in those two trips I haven't done before. Paper thin plastic is obviously to blame. I wouldn't trust this even on sand after seeing this.
