[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Lifetime 44-Inch Shatterproof Fusion Portable Basketball System as an exchange for a review, and overall, I have been very impressed.  The setup was easier than I expected - the instructions were clear, and once the base was filled, it felt solid and secure.  The hoop itself is sturdy and doesn't wobble, even when my older kids (ages 12 and 10) shoot harder shots.

The backboard has a nice rebound for a polycarbonate style - not the same as glass, but perfect for home use.  The rim is strong and dependable.

The adjustable height has been a significant plus, as we can lower it for my younger kids (ages 8 and 6) and raise it for the older kids.  It has held up really well, and I can tell it will last a long time.

Overall, this hoop is an excellent choice for families.  It's sturdy, easy to adjust, and fun for all ages to use.  We love Lifetime products!

This is a good size basketball hoop that can work in a small or big space.  

 

Kids age 4-14 have all said they like it. We have the hoop on the lowest setting and everyone can shoot comfortably. It is adjustable, but it will take you a minute to raise/ lower it as it’s just a screw that you remove and place in the hole you want for different heights. 

 

The rim is a nice heavy metal with paint to prevent rust, so it should hold up in the weather for a long time. 

 

The rebound on the backboard is pretty decent considering it’s a stand one hoop. We filled our base with water and it worked great( we had a windstorm & it didn’t budge)! 

 

It take awhile to assemble, but wasn’t terrible about an hour. Just make sure you are following the correct instructions for the 2 different types of backboards listed in the instructions.

Gets the kids outside!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this Lifetime Adjustable Portable Basketball Hoop for a couple of weeks, and we're loving it! Putting it together was easier than I expected. I did need someone to help with the last few steps, but it wasn't a big deal. We live in a cul-de-sac, and the neighbor kids all play together daily. Everyone loves having it available all the time. The backboard is great and I appreciate that it isn't going to break easily. I feel the noise it makes is not obnoxious and won't annoy every house around. We currently have it on the lowest height and it's perfect, but since it will extend taller I know it is going to provide years of fun.

Awesome hoop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very pleased with setting up this basketball hoop. My husband and I got it set up under an hour. 
    Once we had it set up, it was easy to raise and lower the rim to the height we wanted it. After shooting a few baskets we realized how sturdy the hoop was. The backboard seems very strong and we love the Jazz backboard as well. It gives off a great rebound as well. My husband had to show off with far distance shooting and even a few dunks and we were never worried about the strength or sturdiness of the basketball hoop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Full disclosure, I was sent this hoop and asked to write an honest review.  I think this is a great basketball hoop for kids.  My kids are not avid ball players but they have enjoyed playing basketball with this hoop since we got it assembled. Assembly was fairly straightforward.  Watching the videos helped a lot with assembly. My 13 year old daughter was able to do a lot of the assembly by herself with supervision.  There were a couple times that holes did not line up perfectly and it took a little more work to get the screws in place. Overall I would say assembly was pretty simple and took about 2-2.5 hours.   

The hoop is pretty stable once the base is filled.  We filled ours with water because that is what we had on hand, but will probably change it out to sand later because we live where the temperatures get cold and the kids want to be able to use the hoop when weather allows.  Adjusting the height of the hoop was fairly easy. I wouldn't say it was the easiest hoop to adjust the height on but it wasn't too difficult. When filled with water it was a little more difficult to move the hoop around, younger kids would definitely need an adult's help to move the hoop. 

While playing a game I felt the rebound of the hoop was as expected.  When bouncing off the backboard the ball came back in the direction you would expect when the shot was missed.  When aiming your shots off the backboard you seemed pretty accurate.  The rim seems to be very sturdy. My 13 year old tried to dunk the ball and the rim held up as expected, didn't notice any bend.     
 
Overall I feel that this is a great basketball hoop for beginner and even intermediate players.  It definitely isn't a top of the line hoop but it is a great starter hoop and is a great value for the price. The parts seem sturdy and made of good quality materials.  I think this hoop will last a long time and will be a great addition to the backyard for my kids.

Great Hoop for Beginners

Although we aren't Miami Heat fans, our family has experience with multiple Lifetime products, which have consistently demonstrated the quality of the Lifetime brand. Upon delivery, we received two boxes and my husband assembled the hoop in about an hour. He found the assembly process straightforward, with clear and easy-to-follow instructions.

We chose a location on our property that allows both neighbors and our family to enjoy the hoop. We've spent several enjoyable hours playing games like P.I.G., Knockout, and just shooting around. The rim is impressively sturdy, easily supporting the weight of our 16-year old and 14-year old as they attempted to dunk. For maximum stability, I highly recommend filling the basin before use, especially since a neighbor's similar product broke during a windstorm.

The backboard offers generous space and flexibility for rebounding, making the overall playing experience more enjoyable. My only minor critique is the adjustable mechanism. While it features a simple turn-key design with slots for height adjustments, shifting it up and down isn't as completely effortless. The hoop is limited to four heights, all starting at 7.5 feet, which limits play for our youngest who is five years old. Also note that we didn't remove the film on the backboard which can be seen by the red square. If possible I'll update this review with pictures showing the film removed. 

Overall, our family truly enjoys the time spent using this hoop. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a sturdy, durable, and low-maintenance product that promises hours of entertainment.

Sturdy and Entertaining!

This is a great hoop with a very fun design and so
far all of my kids love using it and I appreciate that it will grow with them. There have been lots of games and lots of HORSE played! 
 
The backboard rebounds really well, and the rim works great for slam dunking! 
 
My son loves the New York Knicks, and he is loving the logo. It’s bright and bold and really sets this hoop apart from others. 
 
It is adjustable; you do need tools to adjust, which is a little trickier than other lifetime hoops with an adjustable lever. 
Having an adjustable hoop is a lifesaver, especially if you  have multiple kids with  differing heights and ages like I do!

Great hoop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great starter basketball hoop.  We currently have an in ground hoop that my teenagers play on, but we have a 5 year old that can't keep up with the big boys. He's going to love this Basketball Hoop.   It's perfect size for him now and gives him plenty of growing room as he gets older and taller. We have it on the lowest setting as a beginner, but love how easy it is to move it up as his skills increase.   Now he can feel included in the evenings shooting hoops after dinner.  
Set up.  We started out with myself and my 16 year old son.  It looked like it was going to take us a couple of hours at the rate we were going.  I do love how the instructions give you a qr code for each part of the set up if you get stuck and don't understand the instructions.  the qr code links to a Youtube video showing you how to do it.   That was very helpful for a novice like me.    About 1/2 hour into the process my husband and another teenage son came home and started helping and we had the whole thing set up within an hour.  It was very helpful to have one person giving instructions and 2 people to carry it out. I became the supervisor!   

Love that the base is just filled with water.  The basketball hoop is sturdy.  The backboard has a nice rebound.  Overall I would recommend this hoop to anyone who has a young child just starting out.  It will grow with them for many years.

Amazing starter hoop.

The function for height adjustment is great, but would be better if able to be down lower to the ground to help accommodate shorter people who wish to lower the loop height.
