We really love this basketball goal. My sons are 8 and 14 and very different in height, so I like that they can both adjust it on their own to fit their play. It was pretty easy to put together...my 14yo did most of it by himself. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I had my portable basketball hoop 54 inch for about 2yrs now, everything was working fine until yesterday when I saw a couple broken plastic washers on the floor, I figured it was the  the spacers that keeps the braces together. I sent an email last night about this issue and got a response at around 10 am the next day from Brenna of customer service that they have already shipped the parts I needed under warranty.  I have several lifetime products 3 basketball hoops, one is like around 15 yrs old. 2 outdoor storage sheds.  Will keep on patronizing LIfetime due to good quality of their products and amazing customer support.

Solid product

I'm please with this basketball set that I've purchased for my 7 year old son. He recently joined a basketball league but never played this game before. I read the overall favorable reviews on this product and was forewarn of the time it takes to assemble this set. The instructions was detailed enough to understand the basic concept of assembling the set but only wished that the instruction refer to the plastic bags numbers of the parts that was needed. This would save time and make it easier to assemble. I highly recommend two people putting this set together because of the weight of some of the parts and moving the assembled set does take two person for safety reasons. It took us about 5-6 hours to put the set together. A couple of times, I made the mistake of connecting the part on the wrong end and had to disassemble and put it on correctly. The set has two small wheels in the front for mobility. It is hard to drag it on the grass from the drive way. The wheel should be larger for easier mobility on grass surface. The instruction recommended filling the base with sand but decided to use water because I needed to lighten the base to transport it back to the yard. I didn't want to leave it permanently on the driveway for fear of the older kids in the neighbor will try to drunk or hang on to the rim and risk having the set fall forward and risk injury. Best thing I like about the set is that it is adjustable height of the rim for my son's use. The cost is reasonable for what you paying for (This set looks durable and sturdy) and the free shipping was a bonus. We had this set over two weeks now and my son loves his basketball set. He has already shown improvement in his game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Instructions were simple and this thing is a tank if you actually fill it with the recommended amount of sand plus some extra bags on top. While instructions are simple it still will take a few hours because it's so solid.

My 11 year old and I just set this up - great father son project. Sturdy for the most part. All the parts were there and assembly was a snap. Filled with sand - great project for the kiddos...
We have only had it setup for 2 days, good rebound off the rim (not too flimsy), decent bounce of the backboard.

We bought the hoop for our kids to shoot around in the driveway. It's super sturdy and the larger backboard helps avoid too many stray balls. With the kids being different heights the easy to use action grip handle to adjust hoops height is brilliant. 
Only improvement I would suggest is providing better assembly instructions.

This would have been 5 stars but the backboard was pretty significantly scratched from poor packing - they should have protected it better from the other metal pieces. But seeing that this will get a lot of use, and I already had to return the first one they sent (because that was poorly packed as well and one of the pipes had been scraped and dented during shipping) we just decided to keep it. My daughter didn't want to wait another 9 days to get a new one.

That being said I was pleasantly surprised at how well written the directions were, and the diagrams were very detailed so it was easy to figure out how it all went together. Took me about 3 hours to assemble, but putting in the sand took another 1/2 hour.

Once it was together I was also impressed at how sturdy it is - it is well made. The height adjustment is very easy. Once it is at a full 10 feet of height it is a tiny bit shaky but for the price and who's going to be using it (a 10 year) it is perfect.

Overall very pleased with this and it is a solid product for $249.

Solid product - good for a starter basketball hoop

Assembling the unit is not for the easily frustrated. The unit's assembly will have taken an additional two weeks by the time I'm finished because of missing parts I've had to order from the manufacturer. Thus far the manufacturer has been pleasantly responsive regarding the missing parts. Additionally, you will need many tools, which I have but was surprised to have to use so many different tools at what first appears to be a simple engineering design. The parts appear to be of good quality. I expect the unit to last a long time. As for the Owner's Manual/Assembly Instructions, I thought it to be satisfactory, easy to follow, and typical. The assembly, ignoring the delay due to missing parts, does take a while; for me, in excess of four hours by myself. Overall, I rate this unit as average + for the enjoyment I anticipate my family having once the assembly has been complete and its put to use.

I recommend this product.

A screw broke during assembly and now I can't unscrew the  other piece so I'm stuck. Was excited to use the hoop. Hopefully customer service can assist me during the week.
