I bought this for my 7 year old for Christmas. It works good and does not take up alot of space. It's perfect for kids or small projects. I had to watch a youtube video to find out how to thread the machine because I had never used a sewing machine before. But now that I know what I am doing my daughter and I have been making clothes for her dolls.

This sewing machine stitches really well even heavy upholstery type fabrics. I made 2 pillows. I had a $150 sewing machine that broke and fixing it cost more than buying a new one. So I needed a sewing machine that is not expensive but can do small project once in a while. This machine is great.

Great little machine

This little sewing machine is awesome! I'm a beginner and this is my very first and I'm definitely not disappointed. It's so small but runs with the force and energy of my three year old haha I would recommend to beginners or pros who need something done quick or on the go. Its electric powered or battery operated. Really cool lil machine I love it!

Powerful little machine

So far, it's working great as a "first" machine for my Granddaughter. She is making Barbie clothing for her dolls. No back-stitch and no stitch length abilities but that will come when she is ready to move up to a more advanced machine. Great sale price and came with electric scissors and thread pack.

Great for a young beginner and at a great price.

I purchased this as a starter sewing machine for my grand-daughter.  It is a great value for what you get.  The machine is simple to use and offers both battery or wall outlet power options.  It operates at only two speeds which makes it a safe option for beginners.  The power scissors that came with it are a real plus!

i was pleasently supprised by how small it is and it works great for small projects and saves me the trouble of lugging around a big machine and trying to find a place where i can set it up and leave it up cause set up and clean up take minutes I LOVE IT

This is a cute little machine to fix little things around the house that need more than a sewing needle. It is very lightweight being a plus and minus. It is easy to carry but hard to manipulate large items..had to improvise it in place so it doesn't move with double sided tape otherwise works fine.

Purchased this for quick fixes

I bought this product as my first sewing machine. I was able to use once and made my first curtain valence and then broke. It would not thread the bottom bobbin there not see any more. One curtain is the only use it was. Stick with name you know when you think of seeing machines...SINGER!

Garbage product! Save your money!!

I bought so many items in Walmart.com and normally give ratings of 4 stars on average but this is the first time that I am so disappointed why Walmart would even consider selling this product. Bought this as a gift for mom but had to test it first. It doesn't sew right on light fabrics (drapery lining, silk, faux silk, lace, linen), even after adjusting the tension (tighter or looser), followed the instructions to a tee, searched online, watched demo videos but to no avail. Returned the item and went and purchased a Brother instead.

Totally disappointed

This sewing machine I bought for my 8 year old daughter who wanted to learn to sew. We started on sewing her a pillow case, simple right? Well it worked fine in the beginning and I was pleased but halfway through it was just making a tangled mess on the back of the fabric and the thread kept breaking because of it so I spent a lot of time re-threading the machine. I would try to make adjustments and it would work again for a little while only to mess up again with the same problem. I was spending more time fixing it then sewing. Very frustrating. I will be returning it. Not worth the $30+ for only a couple hours of sewing time.
