I have tried several different brands and models of buds and none have fit as well or as securely as Sony's Open Link buds. So glad I decided to try these, have not fallen out one time even when I'm active and the sound quality and ease of use is outstanding, yea Sony.

Best Fitting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have use new Sony LinkBuds Open Wireless Headphones for over the week now and I recommend  a 100%, I have my ears operated (pulled back) years ago and from then I found difficult to find any in-ear that will fit and stay in place - this ones does! They perfect for sports, I do gym regularly and I found them so easy to use they don't fall out, and whats super Important for me they sound perfect too (I always expect what's best from Sony), i have Sony sound connect app installed where I can change options to fit my personal preferences from 360 reality audio, equalizer (sound balance) it also analysed my ears shape to help me wearing ear phones the best way! So many options and choose is yours.

I use these earbuds at work, 10 hours a day. I can take calls in a loud environment (i.e. forklifts, many people talking etc.) and the person can hear me clearly even if i am wearing a single earbud. I will be very honest, they do take some getting used to, but once you do get comfortable with them, you forget they are there. I originally used sealed earbuds, but wearing them for so long would cause me ear pain. with these, that went away. I my specific use case, there is no better option. I bought them a month and a half ago and already logged 150 hours of use, the battery lasts me 2-3 day between charges.

Niche product for niche customer

I originally own the first version of the Linkbuds and the left bud had a battery draining too fast issue, so Sony replaced them with this version. 
Comparing with the previous version, here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
- Better sound quality, longer battery life, wide area tap is not that sensitive (with the previous version, if I was eating nuts, the crunching noise often activated the wide area tap.
Cons:
- Poor fit (for my left ear, it is very difficult to keep it in the holding position, so I need to keep adjusting it.)
- The wide area tap can be a little more sensitive for adjusting volume.

Overall, I still like these.

Improved version!

I bought the original LinkBuds ~6 months ago and was excited to see the line revamped, so I jumped on the pre-order for these. On paper, these headphones sound perfect for me - I need a passive device I can wear in the office, or while skating outside, that doesn't interfere with ambient sound.

Unfortunately, the poor fit of these earbuds has me immediately returning them (as I eventually did for the older gen pair). Sony's marketing claims they've found a simple shape that fits everyone's ears but.... they just don't work for me. Granted, I'm not your average-sized person - I'm 6'4'' and would wear a medium-double-tall if clothing manufacturers made that. Despite that, until these two Sony products (the original LinkBuds, and now these LinkBuds Open), I have _never_ bought a pair of earbuds that didn't fit me - others with similar wingtip designs (my old jaybirds, eg) work great.

I was shocked to see there weren't different size wing adapters in the box when I opened it, and wondered if Sony was selling them separately, but no - they don't seem to exist. So after spending probably a half hour total with a mirror playing with the fit... Nope. It simply does not work for my ears. At best I can get the earbuds to sit comfortably for a few moments, until I take a bite of something, or tilt my head the wrong way (god forbid I try to take off a sweatshirt wearing them). If I wore these day-to-day I'd lose one within a week, guaranteed.

I'm reminded of how the US air force tried to make planes that fit "average" sized pilots until they found out, the hard way, that no individual pilot is actually "average" sized - and started designing adaptable planes instead. (read: https://mannhowie.com/average-pitfall)

It's too bad, because this is nice hardware, the concept is unique, and I wanted to love them. Guess I'll go back to the jaybirds (whose XL wingtips, which came in the box, fit just fine).

great-looking product ruined by poor fit (again)

I bought these maybe a year ago. I only used them at the gym. I haven't gotten much time out of them and now for some reason I can't get them to pair. They don't even show up. I have literally tried everything. I don't know what to do? I know Sony has always been a go to for me so this makes me really sad that they aren't working.  Please help!

Don't work

I needed a headphone design that allows me to hear my surroundings while jogging, so I bought these headphones on the premise that they allow ambient sounds to still be heard. The concept is great on paper, but poor in execution. These earbuds simply fall right out of my ears. I did some research online to figure out why, and discovered that Sony makes a "large" supporter to replace the small ones that come in the package. (No mention of this in the manual strangely.) So I contacted Sony and they sent me a pair free of charge, which was nice. However, they made almost no difference. They are barely larger than the standard supporters and did nothing to keep the LinkBuds in my ears. Within five or six steps, they simply drop out of my ears on both sides. I followed the fit instructions exactly, watched the videos online on how to wear them, but no matter how I put them in my ears, they refused to stay. I am a normal-sized male with normal-sized and shaped ears. I don't see how these will work for anyone.

I'm giving them two stars because the sound quality (when they stay in) is actually decent. But unfortunately, they are simply not the secure, active headphone solution I needed.

Refuse to stay in

I bought these Sony WF-L910 open ear buds after seeing a review in the Telegraph of headphones for sleeping in. Unfortunately they are useless. Only one size of flexible silicone ear tip (that keeps it in place in the ear) is supplied, meaning that they fall out immediately. The previous model WF-L900 included 4 different sizes - we all have different size ears obviously - and Sony have inexplicably not done the same with the newer model. I am pretty shocked as I expected could design from Sony, and this suggests a real lack of thought.

Useless - fall out all the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had many makes/types of 'ear buds' over the years, the best ones have always been Sony... that is - until now... what has happened ?
The problem is the LinkBud Supporters, and for a start you only get one and that is the smallest size
Foolishly I order the 'blue' replacement supporter and case before the main item came, as I thought I would get a selection or supporters like I have with every other ear bud I have ever purchased.

When the 'Link Buds - Open' came popped them in and as I just moved my head (NOT shook it) they both fell out.
My wife and I then spent the next 40 minutes reading the instructions and looking at videos but they still fell out at the slightest movement.
My next step was to ring Sony support and after a frustrating 53 minutes on the phone with a nice representative who spoke perfect English, he said he couldn't find the part number for the support but he would follow it up and true to his word 9 days later (hence the delay in my review) I received a replacement LinkBud with no supporter(s) in other words the wrong part !

I couldn't set the LikBuds up to test them and I certainly wasn't going to tape them on as it would negate the point of the holes them anyway.
The did fit and stay in my wife's ears but she has tiny ears but unfortunately she is deaf in one ear and has reduced hearing in the other.
My ears are medium and either use the centre one or the one below in a 5-piece ear bud set but in this case I had no choice.

CONCLUSION :
The LinkBuds are definitely "Unfit for purpose", all because you seem to be able to get only one size of supporter !
I am the biggest supporter of Sony and have literally hundreds of their products but this baffles me and in its box it will have to stay unused I'm afraid, it really saddens me to give this product 1 star and that is for build quality as it totally unusable.... sorry !

Have we all got the same size ears now ?
