Very well made, easy to put together and of a nice size for kids to use and play with under the Christmas tree. Would definitely recommend this train!

Easy set up and runs well!  However note that the remote operates the train but does not turn it on or off - that must be done on the engine itself!  Hope it works as well next year!

Bought this train set last Christmas and I'm very happy with it.  I'm 63 y/o and I have this going around my Christmas tree and its as cute as can be.  I'm very satisfied!

Arrived before expected!  Which was perfect.  No damages, well packaged, and easy to put together.  Made sturdy to stand the test of time.  Beautiful accent to your Christmas decor.  Great toy for the children or for a collector too!  Lionel is an excellent brand!  Worth every penny for years of enjoyment!  Love the removable pieces to add in your own personal touch, such as ornaments, miniature packages, or whatever you may like.

my 6 year old daughter wanted a train for christmas, and we got her this one.  its a wonderful quality train and we are thrilled with the purchase!  she loves using the controller to start and stop the train.  the set up was pretty easy.

I liked the train but it would not stay on the plastic tracks. Plastic tracks kept separating. Had to glue them together but still had problems getting the little train and caboose to circle the tracks without veering off. Also, it was impossible to unscrew the compartment which held the C batteries. Ended up stripping the screw trying to undo part to get access to battery area.

Pretty train that kept veering off track

Do not buy. Ww bough this train last year and it worked for one holiday season--minimal use. We brought it again this year and it doesn't function properly. It stalls out on the track (making noises) but won't move. Nothing we have tried has worked to fix it. Complete waste of money. I wish I could get a refund.
