The colors are the exact same as in the picture.  I was whip shy b/c I had already sent one back, but I could not find anything I liked in the stores around me.  My only concern would be the ability to snag.  I have mine under our formal dining room table--which we really do not eat at a lot.  But it looks gorgeous
