Liquitex is an excellent gel medium and it is often the least expensive. It doesn't usually take much to get the job done and the results are almost always pleasing.

Liquitex   Matt Medium

This is my go to medium for heavy bodied paintings. I love it. The texture and hold up it provides. Worth it every single time.
