If you have a cat use this!! I have a couple and this is by far the best and easiest to have and use. I can clean the litter box twice a day and its contained, no smell. Changing the refills as super easy as well.

we seen this on Facebook and wanted to try it..we have several cats 16 to be honest..all fixed and majority of the time outdoors..but when they are in its a daily chore in the morning cleaning the boxes..1 bag a day..this I get away with 3days same bag..sooo much nicer

I love these Litter Genies! I have several kitties, therefore several litter boxes and three Litter Genies at this time, probably going to order a 4th one soon. They are just so handy, not having to search for Walmart bags with no holes all the time 😄 If you have one kitty, or a dozen, this will be worth the investment! Also, I order the Genie refills on Walmart.com, the pack of 6 of them is the best buy 😉

This makes cleaning the litter box much quicker and easier. Simply scoop and dump it into the Litter Genie. It conceals the waste with NO ODOR. When the Littler Genie is full, it's quick and simple to change with no muss or fuss. The Litter Genie is a game changer!

How did I live without this?

My aunt had this Genie and you never knew she had cat litter in the house. I decided to get one and it really works. You still have to take the bag out of the genie but you don't have to change litter every few days.  Scooping every day is a small price to pay for not having that cat litter smell in you house.

I had a cat about 3 years ago and last month I adopted a kitten.  I was familiar with the genie system so I was looking for one and found this XL one at Sam's.  I love it!  It's not as cheap as using disposable bags every day but it is very convenient and it conceals odors.  You do have to learn how to use it, this one in particular can hold multiple days of waste.  Before the "genie" I would use a grocery bag and take it to the trash can outside, which meant I could only clean the litter box when I was dressed and presentable.  Now I can clean it any time of the day, on PJs, messy hair, rainy day, cold, hot, whatever and the waste stays inside the genie for a few days until closer to trash collection day.  I would recommend it to anyone, plus Sam's has the best price (I did my research!).

Best system in the "whole wide world" for organized, easy litter box maintenance and odor control.
This genie really does grant wishes!

As with all good things takes a little care. Trap slide is now also the release to open full chamber. Don't be rough, keep a "gentle" touch with it. It is worth it as chamber doesn't flop open anymore at the middle like previous model.
So, when depositing waste, lid closed, one hand gently resting on top or toward back of top, other hand pulls trap release straight out gently. No need to pull hard or lift up while pulling. Once waste drops you might give a little lift to kind of shake it all down etc., but as you'll realize, that will now open the chamber. And yes, when ready to change a full "bag" you do same previous steps of gently bracing back side of unit, pull trap slide out, then lift top up and back. Follow steps to cut & tie full bag. Tie off end of new liner, pull down, and you're good to go! Replacing liner refill is still same. 
Top trap might have slightly less depth to it, but worth it to not have container dropping open on you everytime you go to move it or work with it. 
Especially helpful with multiple cats.

A Genie that really does grant wishes!

I love this for my cats I have three cats. They all eat so much food and you could imagine how much they poo. if you're a cat owner, you already know how much the litter box smells. This saves a lot of time and effort having to go take out the trash every day instead with this product, I can just put it inside and it locks the odors from anywhere else inside the home. I love it I recommend it to any cat owner.

Excellent

This is helpful for keeping unpleasant things out of the litter box and it's a good concept (I was previously using a small trash can with a lid), but it doesn't totally block the smell and I find it difficult to use the built in bag cutter when taking out the trash.   The top of the item is much heavier than the bottom so I have also had issues with the whole thing tipping over when I open it to remove the full bag.

I absolutely love using the Litter Genie XL for its convenience, size, and ability to hold in odors.

If I had the ability to make improvements, I would:

make a larger deposit hole - my cats may have a larger deposit than the hole

put a regular handle in the front (or maybe somewhere else) so that the unit could be pulled/moved easier

maybe add some wheels

have a clip or something to continuously hold open the depositing handle which manages the top hole so that I may continually dump the deposits in one go, rather than deposit, open, deposit open.

have the deposit handle on the side because when I put in the deposits, litter may fall off the scoop and land on the handle-is difficult to clean off and when you let go, the litter may fall on the floor or into the bottom of the Litter Genie where there is no bag

Would Recommend

It's functional, but arrived unassembled with no instructions.  And the top is missing a hinge tab.  Perfect for 1 cat, but not multiple cats as it states.
