This was a gift for a great niece that lives away.  I was glad to be able to mail this to her for her birthday.  She enjoyed helping the process come along to bring about a new furry friend.  It looks scruffy (like some pound animals do) but with the child washing and fluffing them up they get new life. . . like a pound animal

Itâs a rather cute idea BUT the quality is not great. My kids each got one for Christmas. We followed the directions but the pets were still pretty matted. I tried soaking them in warm water and fabric softner after the first attempt, which helped a little, but theyâre all still matted.

Quality is not great

This Scruff-a-Luv was clearly used! It came after Christmas (even though it was supposed to arrive by 12/15/2020) but that was okay because I told my nephew it would be here soon and he was okay with waiting.  I gave his sister one that arrived on time and she was going to wait so they could put them in water together. But when the box arrived after Christmas and I brought it over to my sisters home to give it to him, my sister was quick to realize it has already been opened and put in water. It was sewn back together with thick thread and was folded wrong so you could see its eyes. The fur was that of the fur after they have been opened up and everything. There was no telling how long this could have been someones stuffed animal. It is quite upsetting. They usually come wrapped in a mesh that dissolves when in water so they open up. So, obviously we are returning it!

Not worth the money! box was smashed, the fur does not brush out like they say it does. Will never buy one of these again.

My daughter was totally disappointed with this product.She did what she was supposed to with it. The dog/bunny (can't really tell what it is) looks so bad.My daughter obviously can't sleep with it like she intended to. She's too afraid it gives hernightmares. I wouldnt even give this piece of junk one star but it won't let me give none.

So disappointed in this toy. I purchased it for my daughter thinking it was such a cute idea. She loves anything "surprise". We opened it after reading the package that the whole process should take 20 minutes. Wrong. We soaked it, rinsed it, and dried it according to the instructions and it was a matted mess. It would not fluff up. So we soaked, rinsed and dried a total of 2 more times. Tried brushing the fur which only caused it to fall out in clumps. It is still a matted mess. My daughter still seems to like it, or I would've returned it to the store. I agree with the other reviewers that said it is dollar store quality. A great concept, but failed. Definitely not worth the money.
